Ramones: I Believe in Miracles

"I Believe in Miracles" music video is from that peculiar kind you need to watch countless times in order to have a full view of what's shown in the screen. Not exactly for its images or some artistic cryptic message, neither anything about Ramones performance of the single, but it's all about the speeding titles rushing through the screen at the top and the bottom of the frame.

What's the ideas thrown? The history of rock n'roll with many bands and artists names appearing, titles of Ramones albuns and moments, and there's also the political/social/cultural revolutions that happened between 1950's and late 1980's. A non-stop presentation of facts along with the group act on a set, with some dull animated objects floating from time to time, awfully dating the clip with its effects from the period.

The artists names and the historical facts and events relate to Joey Ramone's life period, as he looked back to everything he lived up until, through countless changes (positive and negative) and how he sees a bright future yet to come to all of us. Simple and safe yet one of the coolest songs from the group; the video too despite the dated elements and it's fun to follow through the speeding titles moving around the screen. 8/10.
