This show is very well written and I do love the score of the show. The stories do have a lot of humor and drama at the same time, it feels like real life sometimes. I wished there would be more shows with such an emotional touch and still taking the viewer on a funny ride. I recommend this series to everyone who loves to laugh and to experience British humor. The show tells the story of two elderly guys lol - they were formerly known as The Invisibles (robbers) and are now retired. The six episodes are telling a really believable story of these two guys, how they cope with the things that life handed them on a plate. Maurice (Anthony Head, very well know as Giles in Buffy - The Vampire Slayer) and his wife life together, she has no idea about him being still in action. Syd (Warren Clarke, known for his role as Dim in A Clockwork Orange) lives alone and his son causes the two to give up their retirement and start all over with the Invisibles.
Well so the story begins.

Ignore the Nay-sayers. After a slow start, this mini-series takes on a barmy life of its own. It's daft, funny, at times full of suspense and poses some interesting moral conundrums about love, family, loyalty, doing the right thing and being accountable. I couldn't help rooting for them, although they really didn't deserve it! The acting is lovely and it's wonderful to find a drama with the excellent Warren Clarke (RIP) really pulling out all the stops. Jenny Agutter is sublime and Antony Head is still gorgeous, even as a criminal. At times the interactions are really moving, especially in the last few episodes. No spoiler alerts, but the final episode was a blast!

As I write, 1st series has been shown on BBC 1...
What a "Feel Good" show! This is just so entertaining, It's been a long time since I can tell the day of the week purely by counting down the days to the next episode! What a fantastic cast too with Jenny Augutter looking great and so "her". The rogues that the Invisibles are, you still can't help sympathising and backing them. If you haven't see it before, you haven't lived but don't worry, you can pick it up at anytime and know exactly whats going on. The Invisibles is finally a show where we are back to the good old days of simple family entertainment.

Utter tripe. Totally boring. Terrible premise. Terrible acting.
I couldn't watch even one whole episode.
Probably family members giving it 7 out of 10.

Aggravating story and a flawed premise right from the start makes this series unwatchable. If our heroes were England's best thieves in their day, what we have now are two complete incompetents. Maybe because of their advanced age they are in the early stages of delusional senility. Do not waste your time. I am not sure who the producers are but if they had even given the scripts a quick read they might have brought in someone who could at least plug the gaping plot-holes. It is a lazy and totally uncaring approach to series making. If we have stars and a decent location - why clutter it up with a plot ? Please do not insult us with a second season of this drivel.
¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesEmily Head (Grace Riley), is the real-life daughter of her on-screen father, Maurice Riley (Anthony Head).
