The bad reviews are bewildering to me. It's like there's an agenda to bring down this series. Watched Defending Jacob before this, which got high 7s, and I literally fast forwarded through half of it. Presumed Innocent, another Apple TV series with high 7s, miserably slow and boring. Those shows
pale in comparison to Losing Alice, which does everything right that they do wrong.
It's subtle, well paced, cerebral, atmospheric, multidimensional, absorbing and thought provoking. It has an interesting premise. It views like a really well made film. It kept my interest and made me think and feel. The other shows must be for the masses (enough with the hackneyed dark lighting!) This is for those who truly appreciate complexity in filmmaking.
