XXXtortion

Known for his excellent bondage and fetish features for Private Films, Frank Thring traveled to Chatsworth to make this solid movie for Sin City, quality neo-noir.

Former cop John Decker stars as a guy who has just murdered the heroine (luscious Zoe) and is telling his story to his former partner Lt. Grabowski (well-played by Sin City's lead director Michael Raven).

Zoe plays Devon Brent, a socialite who became a madam and teamed up with corrupt cop Decker to run a blackmail scheme on her clients. He would snap incriminating photos of the johns, prominent people who had to pay up to keep her quiet.

Series of sex vignettes of the scheme at work is consistently arousing as Thring stages his sex scenes with aplomb. Unusual casting gimmick has the three lead female roles (the madam and her two trusty prostitutes) filled by near-identical looking ultra-busty blondes: Zoe, Zora Banks and "CeCe Monroe" -who turns out to be the popular big-tit lady of the era Candi Cotton.

Most outrageous of the scenes has Zora Banks donning a strap-on dildo in order to provide pegging content as she humps client Mickey G. in the ass, after which he returns the favor on her bareback, in a threesome scene with Zoe. Both Zora and Zoe are clad in pink latex fetish-gear and Thring's Private classics turn out to be perfect preparation for this classic scene.

Thring himself plays an eye surgeon who gets off on watching bondage girls catfighting (film is set in the late '40s/early '50s era of Bettie Page), and the incomparable Tanya Danielle is terrific in fighting and lesbian action opposite Sydnee Steele. Thring's fate afterward turns out to be the catalyst for the opening murder of Zoe by Decker, and the lengthy flashback ends with a satisfying amoral ending.

This is great XXX entertainment and deserves to be revived from the limbo of turn of this century porn, an era that almost effortlessly (and consistently) produced far better erotic content than is being cranked out today. Besides the talented ladies already mentioned, Taylor St. Claire also has a stimulating scene with Decker when Zoe is turning the tables and setting up a millionaire's wife for the incriminating photo, at the behest of her husband.

XXXtortion is a rare thing. A porn film with a plot. A hark back to the golden age of porn but the bright lighting because it was shot on video shows its more modern origins.

XXXtortion is a neo noir porn inspired by classic mainstream films such as Double Indemnity. A former cop has killed a beautiful blonde woman. He tells his former partner how she ran a prostitution racket that had police protection and how they used to kinky sex to extort money from wealthy or important clients by blackmailing them. After each sex scene a photographer humorously pops out to take the incriminating snap.

While the film should be applauded for actually attempting a decent story, some of the sex scenes were a little bit dull.
