This film has some very dark, intense moments. It opens with a harrowing scene that allows up to understand the protagonists actions as the film progresses. The female lead gives an edgy, real performance and has the courage to show us her ugly side. She has a tough presence that we don't often see in films. This film is a difficult journey into the mind of a traumatized person but the dynamic performances, and powerful drama definitely make it worth the ride.
A suspenseful, aptly horrifying ride! There's some division on this film. I think it comes down to how much you like indie filmmaking. If you're expecting a big-budget, slick, fake movie, you're going to be disappointed. But if you want a thrilling horror film, raw, edgy, real, then this is for you. I was thoroughly into it!
When it comes to acting, I'm really not sensitive. Often when people write about how awful the acting is in a movie, I haven't even noticed. But in this movie it's really something else. Stiff lines delivered without a hint of acting skills.
I guess most people have seen The Room by now. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that the lines and the acting is at that level. It's like some kids in high school got an hour to write dialogue and then "act" it out.
Since there was no way to get captivated by the story, being constantly reminded that these were ordinary people reading clumsy lines, I turned it off about 10 minutes, so I can't say much about the overall plot. However, already in these first minutes you could tell that the writing was also incredibly stupid. No way FBI agents would act like this, especially not like the female lead.

We've all seen the "Loose Cannon" investigator go after killers. The first half of this movie is all about the "Crazy cop." It gets dull. However, the second half truly delivers. The lead actress is terrifying as she goes into a dark, psychotic place. Good film.
