I Loved this!! It was absolutely adorable. It was like falling into one of my favorite books! So stinking cute at every turn. These two main leads had chemistry in droves! I couldn't get enough. I mean every time the camera captures them, you can just feel the heat! This is an age gap romance one of my all time fav tropes. And it think it was done so well. The angst and drama that comes with a younger girl and an older man, it was all there, the mother drama was vicious and of course there's got to be some unrequited love on both sides just to keep us on our toes! I highly recommend! I genuinely loved it!

Before watching this, I watched the movie based on the same novel by Lan Bai Se: This Is Not What I Expected 2017. This tv series is a lot different from the movie but mostly ok for a romantic comedy drama. What was unsatisfying the most is the food, which looked rather unappetizing. I mean, for example who could be impressed by the fried rice that's gone cold, or reheated??

Gu Sheng Nan. (Zhao Lu Si) showcases her true potential as a chef when an aggravating situation, and ill-fated misunderstanding, positions her against her prospective boss, the sharp-tongued CEO, Lu Jin(Lin Yu Shen).

Lu Jin, a prodigious entrepreneur, sets out to condemn the Zijing Hotel, changing his mind when he serendipitously comes across one of Sheng Nan's dishes. United by their passion for food, this improbable duo forges an unforeseen connection that takes them to an unanticipated destination.

In this romantic tale, you will find an age gap romance that is characterized by perfect chemistry, quick-witted one-liners, dramatic love rivals, obstacles, and everyday life. There's no better way to spend a rainy day than by watching this series with a bowl of popcorn in hand.

This drama combines all the clichés of the genre: older man falls for younger girl, rich man with poor hard working woman, lively, tough cookie with good friends , and he is a solitary, somber and serious, rich family meeting poor family, childhood friend, brother in search of recognition and love,female at work versus male at work domination, jealousy bla-bla-bla.. I believe that in order to make up a series with so many episodes, they searched all the clichés. The only thing that I really enjoyed are the photos of the food and meals. Still, at one time, this all disappeared, and it seems the girl is suddenly on holidays. The rest is pretty bad, even the actors are overplaying it.

Gu Sheng Nan (Zhao Lu Si) had one dream... to fully express herself in the food she makes and master her cooking skills. She tought she was while at the Zijing Hotel as an assistant chef and having a secret relationship with the head chef. Ufortunately one day she catches him cheating on her and breaks things off with him.

When she thought things couldn't get worse she finds out that she might be out of a job. Unfortunately her encounter with her soon-to-be boss, CEO Lu Jin (Lin Shen).

He has the charisma, a sharp tongue, and a head for business ready to make the tough decissions when needed. He was ready to sentece the hotel to it's doom, but things change the moment he tastes Gu Sheng Nan's dishes.

Besides doing business Lu Jin's other passion is food and is very perculiar in what he eats. In a single bite his tastebuds revive.

They start an odd kind of relationship where it would lead them even they don't even know.
