My Divorce Party

Xan (Desiree Staples) is getting divorced after a 10 year relationship. She invites her four longtime friends (Kimia Behpoornia, Michelle Meredith, Rumer Willis, Dionne Gipson) for a weekend in an RV out in the desert. Xan has brought $100k of her savings. She would rather burn it up than give half of it to her no-good cheating husband. The other girls have different ideas.

There are lots of these ladies' get-together movies nowadays. The $100k is an interesting idea. It's kinda like Brewster's Millions. It could be done better. I like most of the actors, but the characters struggle a bit for the comedy. Everybody is trying, but it's not hitting me right. I can see what they're trying to do. I'm just not laughing.

This was a great movie and very detailed. It is hard on both parties because divorces causes a lot of stress. This movie helped me to realize that girlfriends are important and can be lifesavers. It was a touching movie that allowed woman to lean on each other, confide in each other, share stories, have girl time, reminisce and love on each other emotionally and socially. My Divorce Party is an overdue movie that many woman can benefit from. It came out in perfect time when woman needed their spirits lifted. Great job to the producers and writers!!! I am looking forward to hopefully seeing a My Divorce Party 2.

My Divorce Party is about a groups of friends gathering in the desert to support a friend who is divorcing her husband.

This movie was written by a woman for women which is nice to see. However, some of the characters, especially, Wendy, Samantha and Amara were stereotypical.

However, it felt like I was watching a SNL sketch.

My one big criticism is the dialogue. It was spoken at a rapid pace, disjointed and there was a few moments it was garbled.

The acting was a mixture of good and not so good.

This is a you go girl movie.

Overall, its a funny, good/bad movie with no social redeem value what so ever.

Every girl has a pack of girlfriends - the ambassador of good will, the social director, the comedian, the scholar , the bff.

Xan 's pack rescues her for the weekend prior to her divorce for well intentioned support when the itinerary goes sideways and the girls need to intervene. Each have a solution personalized to their strengths-some better than others.

The story is poignant.

We don't have to be perfect as Xan's character says. But we must chairing our friends - our real friends. Those that pick us up off the ground when we can't stand alone , the same ones that will hold us accountable for our own good when we have the strength.

Get yr best gal pals , a couple of bottles of ur favorite adult refreshment and your feety pajamas. Pop the corn , let ur hair down and hang with the sisterhood. Feel good together. We've all been thru an ordeal- let's remember who got us across the finish line .
