This kdrama hits many of the familiar tropes, but nails them with such accuracy and charm that viewers will be willing to forgive the familiarity. Lee Min-ki and Nana are both excellent in this type of rom-com, and they exhibit great chemistry. The side characters are all well drawn and have nice story arcs too. The first few episodes are light and fresh... but the show teases hidden depths to come. This is a great drama for those experienced with the kdrama aesthetic... or for those who want a perfect introduction. With this... and last year's fantastic "Into the Ring", Nana is quickly becoming the go-to-actress for this type of role -- the strong independent woman with a heart of gold.
For a start the title Lady Lord is ridiculous - it would be Landlady if anything. I am wondering how a mother could sell the house her son lives in without telling him - and how if she is the owner - he has the power to stop the sale. This is the standard of writing in this series.
Th FL is a poor actress taking the part of a poor actress - you'd think she would be good at that but she wasn't.
I only watched this for Li Min ki - I have no idea why he signed on for this which was a total rip-off of "Because this is my first life". That series was better in every regard including acting - writing and directing.
I guess it was just a means to a financial end.

I am compelled to write a review after watching this series mainly because it has a low rating on this platform and it deserves over 7 for sure!! It's a beautifully written series, sometimes a bit clumsy in parts but the performances of Lee Min-ki and Nama are so lovely it's worth watching just for them! Anyone who rated this show 1 really has done it a disservice. I found it very watchable and meaningful!
This drama started off well, but kinda lost interest by episode 6. The female lead is supposed to be this kind, helpful, thoughtful actress while the male lead is an eccentric writer who is a bit narcissistic.
By episode 7, by the magic of God knows what, the female lead suddenly can't decide between the two guys who've confessed to her and instead chooses to play the field, saying she likes them both. That's a complete 180 from her behavior. Also, the male lead is portrayed as a clingy, jealous baby. It's like both the leads drank a magic potion of stupid provided by the writer. The male lead instead of spending precious moments with his dying mother, instead decides to run around the female lead trying to get his attention. All the character development until ep 5-6 goes out the window, along with the storyline and quite possibly the interest of the viewers with episode 7. The drama crew probably wanted to start a love triangle between Joo-in, Bi-soo and whatshisname (who surprisingly has just one expression on his face because apparently his script described his character to act goofy at all times) but this drama should know when not to kdrama. So, they used the love triangle plot. What's next? Bi-soo is going to die(the angel guy said he just extended Bi-soo's lifespan by a short while) so he meets an accident. Then we'll have the female lead finding out about it and rushing to be on his side, realizing she loved him all along. He survives but loses his memory and she tries to win his heart again (because kdrama has to kdrama).

The series was interesting in the first few episodes, and then total stupidity and idiocy begins.
