Billionaire sportsman Buddy King (Marc Blucas) unwinds by hunting human captives on his remote mountain estate. But his latest victim, Ava Bravo (Kate del Castillo), is no easy target, and his expected easy kill turns into a deadly game for others as Ava tries to escape the hunt he has set for her.
I like the story, simple but effective and rather moving as it unfolds. Kate del Castillo carries the film almost entirely on her own shoulders. Had it not been for her strong performance I suspect I'd have lost interest. Marc Blucas simply doesn't have the acting chops to carry out his role effectively.
Nevertheless the film had me tensed up several times, and full of unrealised expectation as it had prepared me to be paranoid and always fear the worst. The dialogue wasn't the best in the world but then again I have heard much, much worse. There's plenty of red herrings and twists in the plot to keep it very interesting, although there are a few plot holes. However these are simple ones that allow to story to arc so I forgive them. All in all it wasn't a bad film at all thanks to del Castillo, and I gave it a strong 5.

I mean, this is not even worth watching on freebee channels. It is just that bad.
It was basically over in the first three minutes, when the kidnappee bashes the killer in the head (though she could have just stopped him from coming out of the basement in the first place -- after he left a message saying, "I'm coming out of the basement, please don't bash me in the head, as that would not be sporting").
At least no b-roll wolves were harmed.

A very badly made thriller made in 2022. The story of the hunted and the hunter trying to be made. But it's made so stupidly that you literally throw an hour and a half away. The characters are crap. The hunter man speaks with a constant grin. The woman thinks she is very smart, but every move she makes is stupid. In general, the transformation of the prey into the hunter creates excitement for the audience. In this movie, there is a grinning type whose purpose is not understood. No tension, no element of fear. A movie was made for free. The man and the woman walked on 20 square meters.
There is no sex or nudity in the movie.

Overall, not totally bad, but the main character, Ava, at times was speaking either Portuguese or Spanish and there were no subtitles.
Her acting was not great but I think it was mostly to the way she spoke English as some of her lines seemed forced to say.
Other than in back story, there were really only 3 actors and 1 didn't have any lines and just grunted.
The bad guy, a rich action seeker that must be so bored being rich, that he needs to hunt humans that survived something in their lives. He did not seem very believable.
I did make it to the end but only because I had hope that things would get better, but they really didn't.

It was unbelievable, but i have seen a lot worse. It had action and a plot. I like the lead character, because she did a good job, but you can blame her for dialog or the script. I believe she did what was given to her.
