Within the first few episodes it becomes clear that this show has a dark sense of humor. Case in point, very early on we have a funeral scene were a young mother lays in a casket as her husband, young children, newborn baby, and other family look on. Don't let this get you down. Within a few minutes we're laughing at a sobbing priest and an embarrassingly bad musical tribute. This show doesn't shrink away at sadness, it flips it over like a messy flapjack and serves it up with whipped cream. These writers know what it's like to have young kids and a wild family life, and they know all we can do is put on a smile and look at the bright side.
Cinematography, acting, music are all fantastic. The lead actor has a lot of charisma. His character is in a tough spot in his life and he's very quickly easy to root for. The kids are also great, it never feels like they are disney channel over-acting.
Don't miss Daddy's Divas.

We absolutely loved it! Lots of moments we can relate to as parents and the plot twists and humor is just perfect. David Tittone who plays Michael Hill is my favorite in this show. We have made it to episode 5 and can't wait to finish of the rest. If your looking for family humor, random and quirky plot twists then this is the series you need to watch in 2023. Creative, fun and most importantly refreshing. I'll be back to review the rest of the season once I'm done. Hoping for a season two soon, make it happen please. I can see why they won so many awards. Congrats to everyone involved! Well done.
I'm not where to start my review on this delightful series.
I'll start with the characters. Each of the children actors and actresses are so enjoyable to watch. They are sure to go far in their career. They are all so charming.

"Daddy's Divas" is a well-made indie comedy series that's a great deal of fun, with solid performances all around. It's well directed, shot, and produced, and the ideas behind it are creative. The dialogue is well-written as well, and the child actors do solid work. You don't often see independent sitcoms, so it's especially nice to see this out there in the world. In general, it's lovely to see indie, character-driven work of all stripes get made, so I hope "Daddy's Divas" will garner the attention it deserves. Kudos to David Klinginsmith and the rest of the team for their work on this series.
A light family comedy with a few tilts to nudge-nudge darker inside adult humor, the real accomplishment comes from casting Michael McQuary in multiple parts. His willingness to absolutely divest from humility and "cabaret" every impression and character as if visiting from an alternate reality ups the strength of the comedy to unexpected levels. More MM in future seasons please!
His Brando impression, minus words in one of the later episodes, Is dead on hysterical, painting his character as a mob/director who his assistant characters seem to understand, resembling the "blah blah blah" adults in old "Peanuts" shows from the late 70s and early 80's definitely goes noticed.
