Safe House 1618

This movie is a snooze fest. Do not expect anything out of this movie cause if you do then you will regret it. It just seems like they were winging it in this movie and the supposed contract killer became killers and that was just inserted when the movie is finishing. The acting was bad,plot was bad and do not be fooled by the awards cause a lot of bad indie movie gets awards just by releasing the movie when there is little to no competition against it so it is an easy win.

I had to create a IMDb account just to review this movie. I don't think the previous reviews have done it justice.

This is an indie movie.

I guarantee this was written by a graduate student on their laptop at 2 am.

And that's what gives this movie life. Its gritty and rough around the edges. It's not perfect but it's not trying to be. It's an exactly what I imagine when I think: indie movie.

I did not go into this movie expecting professional, Oscar winning performances or dialog. Parts of the plot felt rushed and unclear, while other times it felt like it dragged and stumbled. But, nevertheless, it kept me invested and anxiously waiting for an ending.

Safe House 1618 took a page from Jarhead, utilizing the monotony of everyday life to show the consequences of boredom and Cabin Fever. The longer these characters are stuck in this new reality, spending scenes achieving nothing, the more we--the viewer--become more uncomfortable. Our own boredom mirrors the characters. We want so badly for something to happen, that when it finally does, it's almost disappointing.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the ending, but it was underwhelming.

All I experienced was horrible acting choppy scenes boringness and a lot of "that makes no sense" parts😅had good potential but honestly by far one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I wish I would have listened to my early thoughts and just turned this damn movie off. Big waste of time.

We watch a lot of movies and come across some pretty bad and this was the absolute worst. So much wasted time on the stupidest scenes... a guy mixing a salad by hand and adding dressing for a good minute or more and it had zero relevance. This isn't one of those terrible movies that's supposed to be awful, This was just awful. Save yourself an hour and 40 minutes. The reason for their situation doesn't come in until an hour. This is my first and probably only review I just felt it was worth saving anyone the time and disappointment. I spent most of the movie debating on turning it off but any time was already wasted and had to see it through.

An absolutely horrible movie with no story, horrible dialogue, college level acting and so much wasting of time. Scenes of several minutes just wasted on a character lying down, turning and some song in the background. There is no plot. There is just nothing there to watch. Amateur hour at its most amateur. I'm writing this as I watch this never ending boredom fest.
