Supposed to be a Comedy/Romance, but it was a saltless meal.
The acting was too weak. The two leading actors were uninspiring and unconvincing, and there wasn't even chemistry between them, not even any romantic feeling... Sorry.
The soundtrack of the movie was too bad, it feels like they gathered some "royalty free" melodies and just added it to the movie. Haven't seen a worse soundtrack on a Comedy movie ever.
The story itself wasn't too bad, it was just too bad executed. With higher budget, better director and better actors it might be supposedly a better movie, which at least could offer some romance and comedy elements.

Seasoned characters were great but the main characters lacked emotion - sounded like they were rehearsing their lines (in segments = da-da-da - da-da-da - da-da-da) instead of actually acting. And having to input the same line twice ("It is time to suck it up buttercup and let Morgan know how you feel"). Any particular reason it had to be said twice? I'm sorry - I watch alot alot alot of Hallmark movies (and, although this might not be one) it was so blah! There was no spark/chemistry whatsoever. The only good thing was the ending (when the story actually picked up) but, getting there, blah, blah, blah.
I agree with other reviewers, there's just no chemistry between the two lead characters. The female lead tries her best but I think that they needed a different male lead, this guy is clunky. It's like the camera isn't rolling and there's just a read through of the script. The supporting characters are doing all the heavy lifting in this made for tv movie. The scenery was great, and varied in the different locations and the plot moves along at a steady pace, but it's like a paint-by-numbers. And the Apple Festival is only really given a cursory glance, so I'm not really sure why it was mentioned. And I'd really feel dudded by being the winner of the pie making contest, because the male lead only blurts out the winner towards the end, as an aside!
There are better tv romance movies than this one. The Christmas ones are usually much better, so I'd search out those ones instead of this one.

Who made this trailer?! I watched it before doing this review as I forgot what the movie was about and which I watched a few weeks ago and didn't recall any hot air balloon which is in the poster. Anyways everything I remember from the movie was in this trailer! Even the ending scene is in the trailer! It does leave out a key "twist" which you find out 10 minutes before the end of the movie right after the give away that this trailer showed so I guess that's good if you wanted to avoid some spoilers. Very forgettable movie. I was very bored on how the main lead was jealous of the male lead for his success, it felt off and didn't add the to main story.
Sure this movie follows the standard love blueprint which makes viewing so pleasant but I also enjoyed how the writer included a secondary love story as well as the mystique of who "Aunt Hope" is.
Even though the main story centers between the lead actress and her male counterpart, I struggled to see them as a couple that were genuinely meant for each other. On the other hand the two main actresses really stood out because they had a great friendship chemistry and it was their acting that made the whole movie quite engaging with their indulgent interactions.
Overall I thought it was an easy laidback watch.

¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesAt ~1:30 into the movie there's an overhead shot of a harbor. The harbor shown is Camden, Maibe.
