This was a beautiful movie, quite honestly. I was in tears several times, laughing and just so engrossed in this uncle and niece relationship coming together. Yes it has its cliche moments, but the perspective of how a child really can change your life in many different ways was beautifully portrayed and I couldn't pull away from the movie regardless of how predictable it was. Just wonderful acting and beautiful music!
It's a type of movie you can watch with ur family, have bit of laugh, get bit of emotional. I loved the kid and her energy for this movie. Don't expect it to be really serious or find flaws here and there. Some stuff doesn't make sense but still it's a movie and not real life.
Yikes, i see many negative reviews but i enjoyed it a lot. I thought the acting was very good. Seeing engin alton in a 21st century piece was very good. He displayed, effectively i thought, a wide range of emotions very convincingly. His performance wasn't static as the character grew throughout the drama. The little girl is a pro, very able and very convincing adapting to changes in her life. And the wife, well, of course she was beautiful but that scene where she and her husband are reconciling was moving. And lastly i liked the music. I think it's definately worth less than 2 hours of your time. I like turkish tv and films a lot. I wish netflix had more.
The first part of the movie was a bit boring. It didn't have to be so long. The first part leaves a big plot, but when we figure out what it was, it was completely forgotten in seconds, like it didn't even matter. Also we can't really see the development of the characters' relationship, it just happens. There were some parts when I actually said "whaaaaat?"
The ending was totally cliche. Some of the acting was pretty good. The girl wasn't amazing, but I think it was a difficult character for someone that age to play.
Now... the music! That made it all worth it.
So if you love music ou the violin, I think you'll like it. Not love, like.

Such a relief to watch a movie about family and love and caring. Great performances by Engin Duzyatim (from Dirilis Ertugrul) and the absolutely joyful young actress Gulizar who plays his niece, and many of the other actors. It's lovely. I cared about all the characters, and the story was well paced and engaging. This is at it's core a story about family -and we do really need these stories to remind us of what is truly important: the awakening of love and the changes that brings. Watch it for your heart.
