I started off on board, ready to see what interesting ways the series would go about subverting the whole "virus kills off people with certain chromosomes" trope and how that impacts society, but unfortunately I felt like the show fumbles with executing what could have been an interesting new take. Between the wild tonal shifts between the first half of the series and the last and the almost slap stick way the series chooses to deal with sexual coercion and assault, I lost the thread with this one. There are a smattering of compelling choices, but taken all together, this show was a bit of a mess for me.

The leads are a delight, the writing offers both sharp social commentary and quirkiness, the premise is an interesting one. Glad I gave this one a try. More, please!

Loved it! Wish I could live in this reality! Felt fresh and funny. Reminds me of a more sinister version of the Woman World comics by Aminder Dhaliwal.

This is the best show I've seen in a long time. After binging the whole thing I was elated to find Ally Xue, J. J. Fong, and Perlina Lau's other shows, Flat3 and Friday Night Bites, on Youtube. Can't wait until season 2 and all the other wonderful things that I'm sure these three will create!!!! I'm now a fan for life.

I thought it was edgy with great New Zealand humor. It was hard to watch because the acting was so spot on the material really stood out. It's an uncomfortable subject matter.

Looking forward to season 2.
