Right from the start Sirona has the tells of the makings of a B movie. Sterile dialogue and action sequences. But as the heading claims, this movie has potential.
While there are already decades of movies about super-powered mutants, superheroes, and science experiments making ordinary people extraordinary, this movie is no different and people are still watching them.
This movie is a good concept to start a series, which, like most series, would need a few back-stories as well as answer questions that we may have started asking ourselves. But most of all the question Sirona asked herself at the end: "What's happening?"

I didn't know it was an indie film, so it's pretty good for not having a Hollywood budget.
I REALLY liked that despite nearly constant conflict, it wasn't rife with constant profanity, like most Hollywood films are these days.
One should be able to just watch a film, and the story unfold, without the distraction of nearly constant profanity. In that sense, those that worked on this film, are far more mature than most Hollywood script writers. Call me old school, which I am.
Anyway, my favorite character was Tuck, because of his witty comments, and empathetic nature, which seem to be a nod to Murdock, of The A Team. Well, I saw a similarity anyway.
I think the actors & actresses did a good job, of showing the character traits of each person.
I hope there's a sequel.

Somewhere there is one of those laboratories that does not exist and is messing around with peoples DNA. They call it Valkyrie. Throughout the movie there is a discussion of the meaning of this name.
One day a subject and her brother make a brake for it. It was not without a few casualties. So, it is time to re acquire the subjects. This is where the movie really begins as we are introduced to the team that is sent to retrieve the girl or whatever known as Sirona.
We get to go along for the ride and we see the trials ad tribulations of the hunt. We are confronted with morality and amorality. There are lots of guns and shooting. Usually, four to one. We learn about a protein called bacon.
The acting is O. K. for this sort of a cross between Sci-fi and sort of a Hallmark presentation. Nothing too spectacular but a cliff hanger ending. So, if you do not see a sequel or series by the time, you read this you might think twice about watching it.
I think I will watch again now that I know what clues to look for.
At the time of this review the sequel has been written and is currently being reviewed. I was thinking mor in the line of a series.

I rented this on VUDU for a family movie night, and all of us very much enjoyed it! For a production of this budget it has a good amount of action, with a cast who gives it their all and quite a few surprising bits of humor. 'Sirona' has elements reminiscent of an ensemble action film like 'The Losers', but it has even closer comparisons to TV shows like 'Firefly'. It feels like a pilot episode of a series rather than a feature film, with an ending that is more of a setup for a sequel than a resolution of the mystery surrounding the title character - but it does a good job of making you want to see where the next installment leads. Cast and crew should be proud of what they've done here, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the filmmaker does next after this laudable debut effort.
Like some other reviewers have mentioned, this is abysmal. Tons of 1 review accounts giving this praise saying that it keeps the audience engaged. Engaged to their phones.
Right off the dialogue is just off. This silly acting becomes obvious a few moments later and it's just all downhill. Why are you filming a fight scene two feet from the actors? Probably so we don't notice how bad it is and the angles can hide the obvious misses. I'm wondering if the camera men took a few hits filming this.
The same background music and they couldn't afford genuine squibs for gun shot hits. It seems like this was done in the 90's and is lost footage. Cheesy all the way through.
