The character Sean Blackstone was originally written to be Kevin Spacey, as himself. After determining there would be conflicts with Mr. Spacey's schedule, the fictitious celebrity Sean Blackstone was born.

Becky gulps the same full glass of champagne twice at the end of the "Margaritas" scene.

The film's main credits are comprised of photos of every actor and department head, from the year 1999.

In the interest of pacing, the festival version does not contain the scene where Kevin and Jake compare different types of wine in the kitchen.
