Resumen
Reviewers say 'The Beekeeper' is an action-packed film with Jason Statham's intense performance. Themes of revenge, corporate greed, and online scams are prominent. Critics praise Statham and the action sequences but criticize the lack of originality, predictable plot, and bee metaphors. Some appreciate the social commentary, while others find the script and supporting cast lacking. The film is entertaining but not groundbreaking, with mixed opinions on its quality.
Reseñas destacadas
Every scene with her was awful. Terrible delivery, unlikeable personality and the acting skills that belong in a bottom-of-the-barrel movie with no budget. The goofy outfits don't help either, (wait until you see her FBI outfit toward the end, cringe). Her and Ruby Rose should make a movie together so no one will watch it. On a side note- her FBI partner looks like the singer from SOTD. Chop Suey!
Statham delivers as usual and knows to stay in his lane. He plays the same character in all his movies but it's entertaining as usual. Jeremy Irons did fine too, I haven't seen much of him since...Die Hard with a Vengeance???
There's an explosion at the beginning of the movie that was laughingly bad...I thought I was watching a movie from The Asylum for a second. But then there's another explosion that looks really good a bit later on, so I'm confused there's such a big difference in the effects.
I see there's a sequel coming and hopefully they get better writers next time around because the only reason to watch this movie is Jason Statham and even then the story was kinda paper thin and borderline silly. Plus it was difficult having to listen to some of the dialogue from most of the characters as well.

The Beekeeper is a decently violent , sort of moronic Jason Bourne want-to-be. In it we get a Jason Statham who's more entertaining than the turgid "Wrath of Man", but falls short of his' action comedies , like "Snatch", "Expendables", and "Spy".
The action and violence are several notches above many other similar movies (though several floors below the likes of "John Wick" or "The Raid").
The movie tries to pretend it's a cerebral thriller , with commentary on avarice and political dirty dealings, but for the most part is a pretty plain revenge film.
The bad guys are annoying enough you look forward to their painful demises.
If you're looking to watch Jason Statham wander around and kill people , you could do worse.

The actor playing Agent Parker should give up acting. She is laughable and the macho woman act is nauseating. The salvage point of this movie is the very existence of Statham. He is the ONLY reason I give it any stars at all. Without him, I would not give it a single star based on her performance alone. Not sure why actors, writers, producers always feel the necessity to butch up women and have them come off tough and crude. Pathetic if you ask me.
I did love seeing the call center ni rods getting their just desserts!
The world needs Jason Statham to be a real hero. He always makes a movie better.

Verona Parker is easily one of the worst characters ever written for the screen, takes away everything this movie aspires to be. The actress also did a piss poor job and always had me cringing at the unrealistic and unreasonable choices she makes. If you'd delete that character entirely, this movie would've been a whole lot better in the long run.
Subject wise it's a very nice concept of a revenge thriller against scam call centers- but again, the whole govt mumbo jumbo makes it feel a whole run of the mill action BS from Hollywood mid tier movies. If the story had been awhole lot grounded, it would've done a whole lot better imo.

A solid popcorn action flick. Jason is his standard typecast role, which you can't blame him for, he's a one trick pony but that one trick is entertaining.
The whole movie is a budget-bin version of John Wick, which again is ok if you accept it for what it is.
The main down fall is the casting of Emmy Raver-Lampan, who is just a stunningly bad actress. It's impossible to believe her on onscreen, even in a popcorn flick.
Jeremy Irons is a welcome sight and lends credibility to the film, even though he doesn't get much screen time.
Despite this I actually hope there's a sequel, fun action flicks are perfect beer and pizza viewing.

¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesDue to the tight production budget ($34 million) the majority of the film was shot in the UK to qualify for UK tax relief.
- PifiasAt around 46 minutes, an FBI tactical unit is stopped from proceeding by the leader of the private security company waving a sheet claiming his team are there on the direct orders of the Governor, and tells the FBI tactical team to leave. This is absolutely not true in real life. The FBI is a federal agency and is not under any direct state control by any governor of a state.
- Citas
Agent Verona Parker: I believe you. But there are laws for that.
Adam Clay: There are laws for that. Until they fail. Then they've got me.
- Créditos adicionalesThe opening titles appear over a montage of footage of bees and historical records of bees.
- Versiones alternativasGerman TV version is cut by 5 minutes overall to secure a "not under 16" rating. The "not under 18" rated version elsewhere is completely uncensored.
