Vortex: A Film Anthology

Some of the time we were mystified and at other times mesmerized but VORTEX is a trip! As residents of Highlands NJ we were excited to see a film that was filmed locally. We especially enjoyed the scenes of torture and bloodletting. When Tesla was subjected to electric shock we were ecstatic. The production was high quality and the actors were excellent.

If only the other films thatg we have seen lately were up to these standards! Thumbs up for VORTEX! HIGHLANDS HORROR FILM FEST featured VORTEX in their 2022 festival and it was very well received. We gave it our BEST ANTHOLOGY award. We hope that this crew will soon provide us with a sequel.

What a fun collection of horror vignettes! The high point is segment 4 (when the tubby doctor drinks a blood slushie). Do not watch while tripping . . . Very interested to see what this group of creators does next.

Really enjoyed this anthology of Science Fiction stories which featured good camera work , pacing , and performances . I watched this the same day I learned I would be working on a short film with Berry and Ward . Five minutes I I knew I would be in good hands as these folks are fine story tellers .

The acting here is top notch so that actually made me nervous . How do they achieve this quality of performance? Was I in for a drubbing . As the most inexperienced cast member(I had only done a handful of films) I was a bit concerned . This was a professional shoot and my only appearances were in independent films.

Turns out these guys get great work out of you by treating everyone on set with respect . They encouraged everyone, were positive, and shot efficiently . In two days we had all the coverage needed for our film and it is about to hit the festival circuit. Berry and Ward are extremely talented and energetic. They are also swell people who make good movies.

As a lover of all things Tesla and a fan of Twilight Zone/Black Mirror, etc. This anthology was a lot of fun...especially the stuff about Vortex Math and alternate realities (no spoilers)! Enjoy the ride.

This is a professional team and I can't wait to see what is next!! It is obvious to anyone that sits down with some popcorn to enjoy this anthology that the filmmakers care about storytelling. It seems like they dealt with a little budget but they made it go a long way. Creepy moments. Scary moments. Somber moments. I am truly impressed with their attention to detail and approach. I am guessing that this project will lead to more from these guys. I'd love to see Vortex part two with more of the same.

Acting is solid and the production value made it seem like the budget was higher than I'm sure it was. Looking forward to the next project!
