Chobiyal - The Photographer

A wonderful film giving a feeling of the bygone era. The saturated color, soft lens, landscape create a magic which is everlasting. Though the script is a bit slow and should have been made and redone for smartness but camerawork and mostly acting make this film a gem to keep in mind. The long landscapes of Bengal gives a mesmerizing feeling which just gives a contrapuntal effect of the loneliness of the main character HABOL played by none other than Saswata Chatterjee. This is a film the actor would cherish his whole life as would the director Manas Basu and the producer of the film. It should be noted that the klast scene of this film is ome of the greatest in film history where Habol and Labonyo flee through muddy street keeping just one foot print on the roads.
