Yorkshire Ripper: The Secret Murders

With any yorkshire ripper documentary you always have a formula; the police expert who think the police of the 1970s should of adhered to the current standard of policing, the fat feminist who always uses the term "sex worker" instead of prostitute, and am assortmentof low iq so called experts offering nothing new. Honestly the first episode got boring after ten minutes, just being honest.

I was more than happy to see on screen what I've seen in real life.

I was really upset at how slow the cops were with connecting the crimes.

There were way to many murders. Half of those could have been stopped.

The best part of this was showing how stupid the detectives and cops were.

Super sad for all the families that will never get the justice they deserve.

George Oldfield who led this enquiry and his colleagues earned our admiration, praise and respects for the work they performed and the enormous efforts made by them whilst attempting to identify Peter Sutcliffe, and to apprehend him. Sadly, an old friend of Sutcliffe's knew it was him but kept quiet and said nothing for years, another person residing in Sunderland derailed this enquiry by writing hoax letters he sent to the Police pretending to be the Yorkshire Ripper. The person they were looking was evil, a fame seeker no different to the other copycat killers who killed President Kennedy, John Lennon and David Richard Berkowitz, the Son of Sam killer in New York.

This is a complete hatchet job on the police and is so biased. Yes the police made mistakes but this is a left wing Guardian reading exercise in attacking the police.

I can't believe they even criticised the police for being happy at catching the killer.

There is no insight into the mind of the killer. This is a vanity project for the journalists to say how important and clever they are.

Don't waste your time.

An ITV documentary series, which examines the murders that could, and perhaps should have been linked to Peter Sutcliffe, the crimes he was not convicted of.

It's a very dry series, it's watchable, it's informative, I'd argue the Netflix series is superior, it gives more detail, explains in more depth what happened any why.

This does feel just like a witch hunt on the Police, they definitely deserve a great deal of criticism, and catastrophic mistakes were made, at the same time, The Police didn't have the tools, intelligence, nor the symptoms, one of the speakers virtually implies that The Police intentionally didn't hunt down Sutcliffe.

Overall, I did find elements really good, I found some of it very slow. All in all, not bad, 6/10.
