Great start, already worth the wait
After a three and a half year wait and many re-watches, I can proudly say it was 100% worth the wait.
This is the most eventful premiere episode of Stranger Things (and the best written one too)
we finally know why the episode is called "The Crawl" after all this time and it explains a lot
I was very happy to see the original party back together (and say what you want to say about it, Lucas' entrance this season was so cool), their arcs have come so far and their dynamics are off the charts here, while still adding to the plot (not that much though)
The older kids also have developed arcs and dynamics, and WSQK already seems like an amazing location
Joyce and Hopper officially being together was something I really enjoyed seeing here, and Hopper's role here is very important and very interesting
The last 10 minutes of the episode carried for me though, the stakes, the visual effects, the cinematography and that final clip, chills, absolute chills
This episode is a great way to start off maybe one of the most anticipated seasons of television, i loved it
I rate this episode a 9/10.

Nice setup for the last showdown
The begining is overwhelming. A lot happened since the season 4 finale and we are already watching the characters in a completely different circumstances and dynamics that we used to, like it's already routine to them. But as the episode progresses, you always feel that gut feeling that no one is safe, and that makes your sight glued to the TV. Everything happens so fast and the episode ends really well.
Chapter One: The Crawl
A good start to the final season. Despite the delay between season four and this one, I think this first episode did a great job of recapping what happened without rushing things too much. That said, I think this first episode had a good pace, with a little action, but nothing too intense. As someone who grew up watching Stranger Things and enjoys the series, I really hope this final season manages to deliver a satisfying ending for everyone.
Intriguing Start
If not for the last 20ish minutes, this would've scored slightly lower. The dialogue felt a little cringe at times and the feud between Steven & Johnathan is a little silly (intentionally, sure, but still out of place), and the pacing was just a little off with trying to fit all these stories together to kick off the season. Loved the ending, super exciting stuff.
Its been 3 years,
Stranger things 5 is finally here and from the first episode you can tell we are back! This Episode is the weakest of volume 1 of season 5, but it is still really good. It kinda introduces Holly Wheeler, a surprisingly interesting character. Mike and Will have had a major step up as characters after season 4 having them be just uninteresting and boring. Dustin has definitely changed and become more Eddie which is nice, Lucas is also great. Overall great start. But not as good as the other 4 episodes.
¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesThe name Murray gives as he approaches the military checkpoint is Austin Milbarge. This is the same name as Dan Aykroyd's character in the 1985 movie Spies Like Us.
- PifiasWhen Dr. Kay begins to dissect the creature, she is wearing a mask over her nose and mouth, but is not wearing eye protection, risking infection from any burst or splatter from the incision. No scientist would make this mistake.
- Citas
Mike Wheeler: Do you have to chew so loud?
Lucas Sinclair: Snipers chew gum.
Mike Wheeler: You're not a sniper.
