I like this movie it was very interesting, however,I Hated! The way it ended. There must be more to this ending. That's the only complaint I have for this movie.

First off the film was shoot very well which made me really eager to watch it . The storyline was not hard to follow as well which is really nice for people such as my husband who gets confused very easily and lost very quickly when storylines are too complicated . It was honestly really great to watch a movie with him and he was actually interested enough to stay up and watch it from start to finish . A few questions here and there however it was not due to writing but I believe due to the time allotted to the film time meaning how long the film could be . The film left me eager for more . I am interested to see how Des and Rocs story unfolds . I loved how I wasn't able to predict the next moves in the film . That was actually pretty exciting because i can usually predict what's going to happen next in most films . The actor who played uncle Ronnie(I'm pretty sure that was his name) was actually really intriguing and I would love to see him in more films . All of the parts were cast very well and it made the film that much more enjoyable to watch .
I read the series (Plus Size Diva & Who Ya Wit) before watching the movie. Big mistake for me because there were too many discrepancies and rushed scenes to save $$$.
I didn't mind a few changes Like turning Roc modeling into art Or the car wash becoming a full service station BUT I found myself arguing with the TV.
Des came off as too goofy and too slim. The book describes her as thick and sexy
Roc was sexy but I wasn't feeling the braids. In the book, his look was smoother/cleaner.
Unc was perfect. Hated him on and off screen
Monica. Too obvious that she was reading her lines posted on the props.
Just under Tubi expectations for me but...
I am waiting for part 2 to see how they pull it off.

The overall acting was great. The story follows the book series and I love the chemistry between Desa Rae and Roc. It's as if they pulled them right from the book and placed them into the movie. The baby mama Vanessa did her thing too. I suspect there will be more coming from her, especially since there was more from her in the book. I have watched this movie, at least, twenty times. It gets better and better and I don't think I will ever get enough. Coke Horner, who plays the uncle added so much fire to this movie. Would love to see more from him too and the ending shook me. I'm looking forward to part 2.
