Treasure State

Pros first, then cons. The movie was pretty good, some of the actors were good, others... i thought the story was great, it could have been improvised though.there were a couple funny jokes, and one part had me cracking up on the floor. this movie may be very enjoyed by the family. Cons, some of the main actors were horrid, the main kid wasnt even that good, the story was kinda messed up and i fell like they used too much music and not enough words. also, they paused in motion to have the narrator kid talk, i normally enjoy b movies, but the music in this was the same couple songs over and over with few words. i was so mad at the music i muted the tv.also, the end point wasnt that good. overall id say try it, but be prepared to turn off.

I feel that the other reviewers here have taken this movie too seriously. Treasure State is a hilarious B movie - made by families for families. The filmmakers have purposefully made this movie cheesy for humor's sake - something that the other reviewers never seemed to notice. The opening credits outright tell you this: calling it an "Andrew Wiest flick." (in filmmaking terminology, "flick" means "B movie")

This movie is chock-full of jokes and is ensured to leave you smiling! The amateur effects and numerous cliches - which some have criticized this movie for - are done, once again, on purpose to humor the audience. The characters are realistic and are acted out quite well for a low-budget film. The only important flaw that I can think of is that the film does a little padding to exceed 80 minutes. Despite this, this movie is a great comedy and I look eagerly forward to seeing other movies made by these people. Watch it; you'll like it!

Bad .... no, TERRIBLE acting and a nonsensical script full of cliches and uninteresting dialogue. The only part I enjoyed was seeing the natural beauty of Montana, truly a 'treasure state'. The dialogue is stilted and unimaginative - frankly boring and trite. The plot, to the extent there is one, meanders all over the place and many scenes add nothing whatsoever to the plot, character development, or even a tangential subplot - they are just there as filler. Like cereal in cheap hotdogs - just there to occupy time. The salient parts of this film constitute a 30 to maybe 40 minute film; everything else is meaningless (and boring) unrelated filler. This is truly the worst movie I've seen in 2019.
