Starts strong with a conventional but intriguing world building: rich family, dirt behind the glamour, past tragedies, etc.

It kind of loses its sparkle in the last episodes, because there are too many twist and turns and the vast majority are way too gratuitous.

Characters go from smart and manipulative to dumb and out of control with seemingly no reason, the quality of the script in general is a bit discontinuous and so is the tonal shift.

I would still give a chance to another season tho, just too see if they find a convincing way to wrap up the many subplots. Great soundtrack th.

A fresh take on the politics of the fashion industry and how certain actors in it just fall in line for the sake of keeping up appreances. What you have in this show is a strong willed man prioritizing appearances while his family suffers and a vengeful woman blinded by revenge suffering the same fate. Looking forward to a second season where there is a greater character arc involved for some of the cast. Well designed sets and wardrobe.

I enjoyed this action packed suspense series." Nollywood " (Nigerian Hollywood) has been around for years. Never a tedious moment. It's the 1 thing Netflix got right by adding the genre to its mundane carbon copy programming.

Savage Beauty caught me off guard! I never expected to be so captivated by a series of South African origin, but Savage Beauty is it!

The plot is very plausible and baked just right. Revenge is the key, with a Dynasty-like vibe; set in South Africa. There is nothing second rate about the visuals and the opulence. Add to that a certain continuous level of suspense and the addiction to the show is accomplished.

The actors are amazing. They maintain their characters, however you keep on believing that maybe, just maybe they will change, but they never do. For love, For money, For power... As situations pull on them to change, they become more engrained in how their respective objectives must be accomplished... a new way... no... in the same devious, or noble-devious manner. Depending, of course, on which side of the fence you're on.

Looking forward to season 2. Not sure if there is enough material for a season 3, but I definitely need some "closure".

Savage Beauty hooked me!

Looking for the roller coaster ride to finish what it started!

So in 2022 there were major films Savage Beauty would be mutilated in comparison to thrill and suspense! However in 2024, a lot of the shows being released in now are flat and boring nothing exciting, low budget, terrible acting, with zero riveting corrupt family dynamics, and just have basic story lines. It was nice seeing fresh faces and explosive acting! PREDICTABLE ABSOLUTELY (in terms of whose the predator vs prey) but it has enough suspense in the character development to keep you engaged! Was devastated with the ending of Season 1 but Im a sucker for the downfall of elite families. A bit on the dramatic side and can have a few tones of soap opera but it does the job to keep you entertained. Disclaimer: watching this in 2024 vs 2022 MATTERS.
