This series marked the comeback from an absurd scandal for the unique and stunning Seo Ye Ji. Lots of wonderful outfits for SYJ. Plus her acting is good. Love the way they make use of her Spanish and the use of tango and the composer Piazzola's music.
It's an often darkly comic mostly engrossing and entertaining revenge drama. The villain played by Yoo Sun is such a riot. Better villain than Cheon Seo Jin in Penthouse. Complicated relationship with chairman Kang who stares in such a funny way. Lee Sang Yeob is underused.
Don't take it too seriously and just enjoy!

The story of a daughter who waits for years as she plots revenge on the people responsible for her fathers death. The superb Seo Yea-ji shines as always but sadly the series falls short on pacing. The story and characters are way too dramatic and people seem to commit kidnap and murder at will with no consequences. If they had reined in the script and reduced the dramatic conflict it would have been a much better series.
Damn, what can I say? The plot is very cool and interesting, but a little dragged out at the beginning, towards the end they already sped up, so much so that all these pursuits were no worse than American crime series, BUT the technical approach in Korean dramas just kills, the cameraman simply shoots faces in all possible angles in tense moments, I understand that they want to heat up the tension, but the editor adds slow motion so that we understand for sure that at this moment we need to tense up, and how does he add flashbacks to remind us 34987 times that they love each other so much, or something like that, at such moments I just skipped, because in reality 5% of the timing is just flashbacks in slow motion, with a spillover effect, as if it was edited by a first-grader
in short, the drama is cool, but the technical points and Park Byung-eun's face are like a brick..

I liked it especially on the first episode up to d' eight..hoping that the story would Build up more on her revenge and on how the court will tackle the divorce lawsuit..but it was focused on rael's love situation on Chairman.. It could have a better ending than the ending that the writer focused on.. But forgiven it was a Makjang series. 🤗 Neways the acting did it for me! Seo yea ji's emotion, facial expression was on point aswell as yoosun it was enjoyable their banters..i hope to see them get a nomination for this..PBH really did great too but my fav was the latter part of the series(car scene) and Sangyeob i liked his eyes and could feel his love on rael's and the other supporting actors for their great acting! 🤗
Seo Ye Ji's comeback show, Eve, started off well in it's first few episodes where she plays the lead character Ra El, looking for revenge on those who had his life trampled upon. The first half of the show's plot development is fantastic. The pilot episode and the initial sequences, including the opening scene, all had a constant flow and a number of peaks. The show's plot thickens with each passing episode as Ra El accomplishes more of her goals. We must acknowledge the way in which the characters' pasts were handled during times of uncertainty.
It's sluggish in the later half of the show, but it keeps you engaged and curious about what's to come. I felt there was too much of romance and less of revenge story going on in 2nd half, which made me uninterested a little, however Ye Ji was phenomenal in her role and she portrayed it really well, which made me stick to the show very end. The penultimate and concluding episode were the weakest episodes of the drama and evidently doesn't compares tp to other revenge thrillers, this is not one to write home about and ultimately struggles to stand out.
My Rating : 7.5/10.
