The Dragon Ball community has been going through it as of late. With how the story in the "main continuity" has been treated, fans have been at eachothers throats back and forth over what is certain and what isn't. From continuities, to power scaling. You name it and the problems just keep pouring in.
However, when Legend came to be, it did something that the original source material has been struggling to do for a very long time. Legend took the entire franchise of Dragon Ball and re-imagined in such a way that took the internet by complete surprise. Instead of arguing over vague explanations, or exploiting the inconsistencies with.the characters and stories, fans have united out of sheer passion and raw excitement at the perfection that is Legend, A Dragon Ball Tale.
This, less than 10 MINUTE FILM, does so much and more that the biggest takeaway from all of this is simply that a little bit of passion and real love for something can blossom into an entity that can inspire and empower anyone it graces.
I really hope the remaining parts release in time.

BARBARITY! A gem for fans of the Dragon Ball franchise. Epic moments, entertaining battle, villain, great references, animation and level of detail. Naseer Pasha surprised with an exceptional short film. Demonstrating his love for Akira Toriyama's created universe. The director's inspiration from the anime series was more than reflected. Dragon Ball gives you this and more, a series that is epic and nostalgic.
The short film has its own style and way of telling the story, having many differences from the original plot, but with a lot of essence. It's worth every second and that approach to heroism shines through every moment.
The animation is very good, with very striking color tones and that drawing is applause. A short that became a super rival a few years ago and that continues to surprise today.
Vegeta's prominence and the way Pasha used the character is admirable. Giving away what has never been done with the prince. I have always commented that Vegeta has great potential to be the best Dragon Ball character, but the execution that has been given to him is fatal, very controversial.
The essence of the martial arts tournament, the battle between Milk and Goku, the environment of the planet Vegeta, the parallelism of the energy attack towards the tournament audience, the essence of the transformation of both SSJ1 and SSJ4, and finally our great villain, the great Broly. Once again he is used, what a great character for battles. Fair merit is given to him. The Broly of the 90's is brutal.
The musicalization, fluidity and effects for each movement and power are incredible.
This short film gives you innovation, with a totally different transformation and focusing on light or primal energy. What an argument!
WE WANT MORE OF THIS.

This takes some of the best parts of dragon ball to create such a unique adaptation. The animation, the short story, the references are all easily 10/10, while also being distinctly different from the original. It's clear that an unimaginable of time, effort and passion went into this. If you somehow haven't watched this already, then go watch it, honestly is the highest quality piece of animation I have ever seen.
I watched this to commemorate the life of Akira Toriyama, the creator of "Dragonball". This fan film is great, featuring this alternate universe where Vegeta arrived to meet up with Goku when he was fighting Chi-Chi at the tournament. I initially thought it was Vegeta who was fighting Goku, but it turned out to be Brolly. What a great bait and switch! The scenes with Chi-Chi were the best in the short. I think she had the most accurate voice of any character there.
Vegeta's didn't seem quite right. I did love seeing these unique designs. I wasn't expecting Brolly to lose his hand! I guess that is something pretty rare in this franchise. Well, the limbs always grow back on a lot of these characters. There's a live-action segment at the end, which is a tad out of place.
It's still wonderful with how you can tell it's a different continuity, yet still faithful to the original. Thank you, Akira Toriyama, for giving us one of the best franchises ever. I feel bad knowing little about the guy himself. Anyway, this had a very unique kind of animation. It's always awesome to see Vegeta become an actual king! I mean, people have always wondered why he didn't become one if his father was dead. ****
