Falling for a Killer

Working on this project brought me back to a dark time when my girlfriend committed suicide. I was left with the guilt of knowing I made her life miserable. Her family blames me for ending her life and for the longest time, I considered myself a "killer". Now, years later, after sweeping the event and my past under the rug, I've been working as a mediocre post-effects supervisor and colorist for a company in Phoenix no one has heard of or cares about. We were lucky to receive work on this Z-list show. Myself, Megan Cottrell and Tyler Schneider are honored to contribute to this project, however minimal, as I continue to overcome the guilt of "killing" my girlfriend. C'mon. A crazy rich old man's hunting boat is 10 feet. Three men cram into it (probably 600 lbs lbs) with loaded riles was comical. Aubrey Reynolds is as always just plain bad. Pushed his wife down an elevator shaft was also comical. The crazy old dad is over the top annoying. I'm sure Tom (Tommy) didn't change that much to the point of being unrecognizable when was a teenager Earl. It would've been better if Tom got rid of that whole and moved onto another one. Crazy Tom made it bearable for me to watch. I record all LMN movies so it only takes me about an hour of my time. This one was comical and pretty entertaining.

"Her Fiance's Double Life" (that's the title under which I saw the movie) is a Lifetime dud. I watch Lifetime movies all of the time but even by Lifetime standards (you know what I mean) this movie is pretty bad. The cast is okay at best. Olivia Buckle does a nice job. Aubrey Reynolds is pretty dreamy looking but her performance is a little uneven. Jonathan Stoddard and Mike Gassaway both needed stronger direction. Gassaway's character is mostly a goofball who's out of place in this movie. The script is also pretty weak. The cast can only be expected to do so much with such material. Overall, I wish I skipped this weeks Lifetime movie.

The acting was appalling. The story was dire and so very predictable. The characters don't have a single redeeming feature and every word and movement could be anticipated. No idea who wrote it, but they were having just the every worst day and obviously had a quota to fill. The music was dreadful. It was like watching a B-movie from the 1940s - the sort of film churned out to accompany the main feature (yes, they used to do that). Don't waste your time even watching a little - it just doesn't get any better. I watched it so you don't have to. Amazon seems to be showing some real dross at the moment.

Seriously, I am 60 years old and this was by FAR the worst movie I have ever seen....and I have suffered through a lot of movies. Enough lines yet?

I know a lot about low budget filmmaking and I understand that this film is not necessarily the worst low-budget film ever made... but it comes very close.

Here are my two main gripes: Who signs off on it's production?

Are they proud of their work?

Do they have any concept of shame?

I never do reviews but felt this was worthy.

There are no redeeming features for this show, thought I didn't make it through the full pilot so I may have missed one. Here's the main issues; The plot is weak and forced.
