The Five

I would really like to know who gave this a rating over One Star.

Decent story, horrible acting and directing, I've seen better grade school plays. I understand the actors just wanna get paid but my shoes have better talent and personality, and they're never on the screen.

Costume selection was horrible, I mean who wore freshly pressed trousers and shirts back then? Armorer should just go hang himself because he used a pistol that was only 20 years from being made. The rigs they carried the guns in were nothing but Hollywood manufactured fables. I can go on and on and on.

Take your job seriously people, don't insult our intelligence!

I'm seriously concerned about the direction US film making industry is heading.

Ok, so it's called The Five, but apparently only four of the five got acting credits..? Did I miss something..? Where the hell is the other guy..? Who was he..? As for the actual show- meh, obviously it's a low budget Indy, so what do you want..? I actually thought the music was pretty good.. The acting wasn't great, but still watchable.. Actually the supposed mute guy, whoever he was, did a really good job of projecting a calm menace.. The woman was wooden and way too uptight.. The plot wasn't bad.. The action acceptable.. Not sure why mute guy stayed in the cabin, but maybe he knew what was going on..? It passed the time and certainly deserves a few stars for effort.. Give the guy a big budget and better actors and he'd be fine..

Just watched the film on Amazon prime and while its not any great shakes in historical accuracy over fire arms used or the period dress, it has a good plot and held me enough to watch it all the way through...

Those who shamefully slated it on such points really do need to get a life!

A decent shoot out and action interspersed the film without the usual profanity that litters most latter-day revisionist cowboy movies these days

One of the older actors even reminded me of Slim Pickens and overall the acting seems fine to me but then I still love watching the older cowboy series like wanted dead or alive, have gun will travel, wyatt earp etc...

Worth a watch.

Imagine a bunch of high schoolers who decided to film a western. They start out with a two paragraph script, throw in some random music throughout the movie, and grab some people off the street and say "Hey, you wanna make a movie?" (No, not THAT kind of movie!!!). The people are wooden and expressionless, the dialog is short and quick. The drama, such as it is, is completely gone, overpowered by such mechanical acting.

Well, that would have been more entertaining than THIS movie. Oh good gravy, if it cost more than $100 to make, they wasted their money. The only, and I mean only, saving grace for this movie is that it was only 75 minutes long although I felt that I watched it for two days.

This is a drama western. NOT an action western.

It's ALL talky-talky-talky... not shootouts. There is ONE scene of action for roughly 2 minutes about 3/4 the way through the film.. then just more drama after it.

The problem with a drama western... is you have to actual cast a bunch of people that can act and convey emotion. No one in this film has the ability to effectively portray drama on screen.

It's one thing to cast a bunch of novice actors for more action-based roles... it doesn't take much acting skill to run, ride a horse, pretend to shoot, etc.. but to talk talk talk talk.. in an effort to convey some sort of emotion.. they kind of need to be able to actually act.

No one in this cast can act.... and it's ALL drama.
