Mission from Outer Space 2037

Everybody seemed to love it. I think everyone could reference it with an action adventure story they may have grown up with. The film was slightly longer than expected, but it payed off in the end.

Well, I needn't have worried, because Mission From Outer Space 2037 still hits the mark. Yes, it's homegrown and rather odd, but I think that's all part of the fun. This is a classic feeling film out of the 1980s but in the future. It's the young kids who have to band together to save the world, and a story that works very well here.

Every aspect of this movie is spot on, which I can only put down to actors and directors obsessive attention to detail. The characters are distinct, memorable and believable. The plot builds slowly into the most tense, suspenseful roller-coaster ride we are hopeful to experience in the cinema world.

I loved Mission From Outer Space 2037. It's very entertaining sweet and cool. It is an absolute must if you are a Lee Majors fan - he really shines here. I am super excited to see a very powerful and cool film like this come out of Houston.

As for Aliens, it is a perfect sci-fi action movie. Great casting, great music, effects, great use of technology and a well written script are all present. Lee Majors performance is outstanding; fantastic as a leader and tremendous as a comedian. If you have a chance to watch this film get ready, I suggest you take it in. It expands on a spiritual level which makes all the characters performance all the better.

There's a lot to commend Mission From Outer Space 2037. It's not often we see such a moody atmospheric thriller about an alien invasion and I will praise this movie later. However there is a lot of things happening in different directions, so if not for the comedy, I would have disengaged.

The aliens are coming. And sure enough just like everyone has predicted, lights appear over a small urban farm home in cloud formation which heralds the start of little green men coming to wipe us out. While a bit on the nose of close encounters, stormy clouds for the aliens mode of intergalactic travel, but then again how many times have we seen the flying saucer bit throughout cinema. So with that in mind we can only see this as a homage to an 80's classic instead of a repeat once again to the flying saucer bit which we don't have in this film....thankfully.

Unlike close encounters, we do get to see aliens up close and they are tall and slender, however not enough of them to satisfy my pallet.

At no point does anyone question a possible invasion which starts to become ridiculous when the film talks about it more than it is actually happening.

Let's be honest here, jet liners crashing and a very realistic car wreck was a great start and we have a slow draw in the middle sprinkled with some great dialogue and good acting. In the end, we get robbed of the alien invasion, only getting teased, but feel satisfied with plenty of strong characters making amends to fallen and broken lives.

There's one other thing: two sisters seem to be channeling the minds of Newton , Darwin and Einstein. Listen to this kid's dialogue, you won't find typical "home alone" chatter but a pendulum of very slick tongue and cheek to surprising life lessons. It's not too in your face, but far enough for one to discover and enjoy.

Make that one more point: Why would aliens invade this planet?

I guess we just assume aliens are bad.

Better make that two things, because if the subtext is about rediscovering one's faith, then did we ever get that answer?

I certainly can't fault the good bits and I will recommend this movie even to those who don't like SF/Horror very much .

Warning: If you are a person of faith you will love this film. If not, then just get over it, there is enough in the film to go around for everyone accept for the "gore and kill film lovers" those patrons best to turn towards a repeat of classic horror.

It's easy to figure out what a Sheriff & Alien film is going to be about. I'm not familiar with many alien films but what the title has promised us and the poster is interesting. There is a Sheriff, then there are aliens, young secret agents and in fact Russian robot like humanoids.

If you are fond to Western movies then you'll be entertained but if you are expecting too much aliens then you might get disappointed. You won't be seeing anything mind blowing effects in this film, however you won't see any cheap CGI. If you want to see Sci-Fi action plus Western violence mixed with very believable child and teen acting then this film is just for you.

Mission from Outer Space 2037 is nothing but to entertain you. The only thing that is unique here is the outstanding across the board of a wide age demographics, all done with top notch acting. The film is not just your typical indie space film movie but instead more of a coming of age film with very handsome Russian bad guys turned good with a wit of some sadistic bandit. The aliens are the antagonist of the film, yet we never get much into that outside of just being a spooky shadows that are realistic but we don't get enough of them.

The aliens are pretty intriguing but we don't see them that much until the third act. It's disappointing if you are expecting a lot of aliens. The only things we see them do are walk in and grab kids & jump scare the audiences. We do get a really nice showdown with the Sheriff and aliens, but not nearly enough of that.

At least the action is full of great characters. The action scenes are exciting no matter how flawed they are, because we are rooting for the characters. The magic is we are rooting for the good guys and then for the bad guys but never both at the same time. The performances saved most of the film. Lee Majors looks and sounds young and carries the film perfectly and Sizemore, for a more brief appearance, is worthy of the film watch alone. I don't know what to say about the Russians, they are just hot and authentically Russian.

Hands down a very well shot film, maybe too much film and not enough wrap up..but this seems to be the trend with most films now.

While the mission may be to get the Aliens, save the earth, or defeat the Russians we find in the end the Mission From Outer Space is a mission to find the meaning of life after death.

It's been a long while since I've watched an original movie. My experience tells me that the creators of this film did a pretty decent job of telling a wacky, unique story for a modern audience, while at the same time keeping the essential elements of old school action in tact. This movie features reports of strange, electromagnetic disturbances in a traditional futuristic dystopia world. In another bow to the modern context, we are placed in the future, but not to far removed from the beloved dial up phone set.

If you get a little confused trying to follow the plot, don't feel stupid. This isn't an easy story to follow but it gets high marks for keeping it interesting despite that problem.

The interesting characters, good cinematography, fun James Bond-like moments, just the right amount of action scenes keeps you interested. And one very memorable scene with Tom Sizemore is a tear jerker for sure. That scene with Sizemore will fill any Sizemore fan's heart with happiness.

Get this film a look see and you won't be let down.
