The Bigfoot Trap

More power to anyone that makes a movie. I never done it and couldn't make one. That said the tone of the movie something off about it. The music wasn't helping the movie.

The roars, growls and screams now were are getting somewhere. More of this please. Tyler Weisenauer has some good acting at the end of the film. I found myself skipping halfway thoughts just to get the movie over. The movie just didn't have enough meat in it. If it was more blair witch feel. It might have been scary. There wasn't enough information to really make you unsure that Red killed the friend. He doesn't talk about the case that much. You know making fun of Bigfoot makes him mad. He not going crazy because of it. That was a big miss step.

More of a crime film, than it is a horror.

The Bigfoot Trap tells the story of a tabloid social media journalist, who heads out to rural America, to interview a man that has set out to trap the world's first sasquatch.

Unfortunately for him, the man has done a little investigating of his own...and is privy to the journalist's reputation in the online world.

So, he and his best friend plan to scare this Ryan Gosling lookalike, into thinking the creature is actually real.

However, things go south...when he ends up shooting the man's best friend, out of fear.

Killing him.

Which leads to his confinement in the bigfoot trap, as punishment.

With one thing leading to another...and things getting progressively worse as the film plods on.

The whole thing is super low budget.

But it's an effective little crime film.

Which probably explains why Showtime ended up distributing it.

It's super simple.

But has a bit of cult vibe to it.

And acts as further proof that even the worst bigfoot themed films can be entertaining.

From graphics to plot is horrific. The only thing that bears any salvage is that I laugh a lot at bad movies. Bad plot. Bad graphics. I feel like this movie was made to receive a one star criticism intentionally. On par with Neil Breene and Tommy Wiseo, I recommend only watch if you really want to laugh at garbage.

Moving injuries, bad makeup, odd substories meant to knit the plot together, open questions on what was really going on. Terrible costuming. A trap that wouldn't hold a child much less a bigfoot. A Bigfoot could fart and blow that trap away, I could fart and blow that trap away.

I have no idea what I really just watched. But it did make me laugh, so I stuck it out.

Synopsis: A group"journalist for a clickbait web news center goes a Sasquatch enthusiast first to make fun of them and then as a terrified participant.

Thoughts: there are so many twists and turns through this movie. Moreover, it's great to see a location not be LA or NYC. Hold tight, Sasquatch does make an appearance.

The movie definitely is a hickspoitation movie. The two characters that bait the journalist to visit their Bigfoot trap are cartoons stereotypes types. The juxtaposition between the city guy from Nashville to hicks from the sticks is apparent. The weird part is the simultaneous fear of the hicks and kinship to them is bizarre.

It was still a fun watch for what it is.

I didn't have high hopes for watching this one considering I watched Ship of the Damned yesterday which was terrible. But this film by High Fliers is pretty decent it felt like some kind of thriller at the start but then become some kind of monster movie at the end. The sasquatch doesn't really show up a lot but when he does it's great props to the actor the roars, growls and screams were believable and that jump on the truck was excellent. If he's that big in real life than that man is agile as hell the film did slow down a bit in the middle and I wasn't sure what kind of film this was going to be. I thought the cover was lying to me but NO! You get to see bigfoot in all his terrifying glory good movie.
