Well shot and acted
This one seems to be a hidden gem. Stylish and engaging crime thriller that does a lot with a lean indie setup. The film pulls you in with a tense opening heist and then keeps layering on twists as loyalties shift and the stakes climb. Hunter Ives and Richard Manriquez bring real charisma as bros, and the supporting turns from Ken Davitian and Eric Roberts add extra weight. What really stands out is how polished it looks for an indie with cool cinematography, clever use of locations, and a moody Hans Zimmer type score that fits the noir-ish vibe.
This is an action movie!
I just finished watching this movie.
It is briskly paced, brilliantly shot and meticulously choreographed and keeps you wanting more and more. This action sequence remains the best in the film and will have you grasping your theater seat because of the sheer intensity of it. Overall, Abstraction is slick, violent fun that turns into a remarkable, surprising film that will catch you off guard. It is THAT good. I highly recommend this film to action buffs especially but I'm sure those who just like a good movie will love it as well.
Anyone that says this movie is bad or complains about the plot or acting etc. needs a reality check. Action movies have never been known for their story lines and all the drama etc., it's an action flick so it won't win any big Oscars for acting etc. but it will give you a thrilling joyride.
I highly recommend this movie and congratulations to the film and crew on making this instant classic.

Higher than 5.2!
Ok, both wifey and I watched, and the actors were "ya know" --- got the job done. Good camera work, and music was fine. And tempo does (slowly) get more intense! The last 15, 20 minutrs make up for anyearlier shortcomings! We went @
7.4.
