Ernie Pagano narrates this short about hunting out west in two parts. In the first, a pack of dogs take on a wild cat, first treeing it, and then, after the woman training them has shaken it out of a tree, cornering it. In the second, a dog takes on a wild boar, assisted by a man on horseback with a lasso.
It was a common sort of short subject in the era, showing hunting. Generally, they were shot wild -- that is, without sound -- and then a commentary track was added. Here, Pagano offers some mild witticisms, offers the dogs' names, and suggests that it's never a good idea to be a bore, lest you wind up not a guest at dinner, but the main course.
