A girl VS The Society following strict superstitious custom

Pros - Ayali is a well written social drama . Story of a girl who is fighting against the superstitious custom and tradition in her village for Women's basic rights . World building was great , Veerappannai village is just reflection of our India , group of people in name of protecting culture and tradition trying to stop the progression for their own benefits in politics and lifestyle . Not only in the case of women's oppression , we can easily relate this village condition with other social problems too . Muthukumar as writer did a well in screenplay and dialogue writing , narration keeps you intrigued right throughout the series and dialogues were hard hitting . Cast did a great job in performance and justified their characters . Technically , Visuals and cinematography was good .

Cons - Dubbing and editing was bit odd in few places .

Third act quite rushed to the conclusion .

Overall a binge worthy social drama Series to watch with your FAMILY .

This series extraordinary spoke the existed reality of our ancestral girls and women. Even though there is no such kind of discrimination doesn't exist now a days, They face consequences in different paths. But the impact of the problems given to them is same. This series gave motivation and intimated the pain of every girl. Inspite of being a male, I was really impressed with the genre and the story and screenplay presented. This series sternly attacked the the people who had mad superstitious beliefs then and now also. I expect more and more kind of movies and series like this hereafter. Full satisfactory.

One of the best web series I have ever watched, it has made me to cry, laugh & think. I must mention all the actors have acted perfectly, top notch performances by all village women & girls. After u watched the series u will definetely think & care about our mother & wife & daughter & all women who are all involved our lives. Every "judgemental" village, town, city, family will need a girl like TamizhSelvi. I just hope n wish this show will bring a lot of education and change the superstitious minds of those stupid people who don't let progression happen. Like one positive thought which can destroy demotivation, and help towards positivity, this show should bring that lustrous ray of light which will eradicate darkness.

I was wondering why film or webseries makers didn't touch this subject so far. And I am glad it came from Tamil industry and the roots of the story and the point they took are very genuine.

Any girl from any corner in the villages or small towns of India could relate to the story line and the lead girl character or the mom's character.

Awesome point told in an Apt way to the present society. I wish more such genuine content is created in India and ppl watch and try to think logically and wisely and adapt to the current times we are living.

Kudos to the writer, director and a special thanks to the producers for believing in this genuine content and trying to bring a good change in the society through their web series.
