Vivid and different
Blind is one of those films which is very different and exciting, and tells a story very differently than the standard film. After watching a ton of movies it's very refreshing to see something different.
A woman is about to lose her eye sight, and is locked up in her apartment with nothing else than her own imagination and a computer on which she can write, when her husband goes to work. She is rehearsing to be totally blind. In the start we follow several persons, but without telling too much, things basically revolves around the blind woman.
It's in many ways a very sensible film, where her sense of lacking something is a drive of the movie. Basically this is a film about loneliness, and coping with a new reality, and also using senses. This film gave hints to Bergman (Persona) and Hitchcock (several) and some other movies with blind persons, obviously. And the film references to a lot of others as well as a part of the story.
This is first feature directed by script writer Eskil Vogt, previously especially known for the critically acclaimed Reprise, directed by Joachim Trier. Be sure to follow this mans next films.

it;s good
so you know there are some films that make you want to make an account just to write a review; this is one of them.. also i just couldn't bare the norwegian propaganda guy. I've seen some positives review here as well, but they were too long and i didn't want to read them so i'll keep it short as well
*the cinematography is good, especially in the begging of the film; I especially liked the first few scene's camera position and angles *in some places the use of sound is outstanding, which has to be a requirement for a blind person movie *the main actress is hot *The "dream sequences" are nice, I am a fan of surreal movies, and this hits the mark despite stating too plainly what is going on
the main negative i can think of is that protagonist is not a really good writer, though it kinda makes the film more believable
so i\d recommend it

Overrated, Boring, Depressing and Messy
In Norway, the recluse housewife Ingrid (Ellen Dorrit Petersen) is an insecure woman, facing difficulties to locomote and to remember objects and animals after going blind and is afraid to go outside her apartment. Her insecureness becomes paranoia and extends to her marriage and Ingrid believes her husband Morten (Henrik Rafaelsen) is cheating on her. Reality and imagination are entwined in her mind and Ingrid thinks about Morten's friend Einar (Marius Kolbenstvedt), who is porn-addicted, and Elin (Vera Vitali), who is his love affair. But what is truth and what is daydream?
"Blind" is an overrated, boring, depressing and messy Norwegian drama by Eskil Vogt. The storyline of a woman going blind and how she is affected is promising and original; however, the screenplay is confused and entwined with over-the-top porn scenes. My vote is five.

It's complicated not complex
I felt lost while watching this movie. The scenario is unique but it lacks on giving clues about the deep imagination inside the movie. As i began to think that i understood the smart idea behind it suddenly i was crushed by another plot trick and i became aware that i didnt get any of it. Funny that in the end i cant even summarize this movie to anyone.
Captivating and sensitive
Not exactly sure of everything I just watched, but I will say that it reminds me of both Persona and 3 Women, and to me that's a mighty high compliment to give. Some really strong performances and some wonderful direction, definitely one that requires multiple viewings and I can't wait to revisit it. It sort of pulls you in and doesn't let go, and the more it goes on the more you're intrigued but also the more you're left wondering, just like both of the films I mentioned at the top. Truly captivating stuff, one that I'm sure not everyone will take to (aesthetically, reminds me a bit of last year's Upstream Color) but that will certainly garner discussion.
