I wasn't sure about the premise but I fell in love with both Joanne and Noah, their chemistry does work...such a genuinely funny show that had me giggling and smiling all the way through. Great treatment of the topics and timely in the current environment. Definitely fun but great messages as well.
I loved Kirsten Bell in The Good Place which is why I decided to watch Nobody Wants This and was rewarded with an excellent show. Adam Brody was brilliant as Noah and the supporting cast were great and added to the fun of the show. Genuinely hope that there is a season 2 it is that good. Highly recommend 👏👏👏

I was swept away in the romance and definitely binged this series. There was a lot of great writing, pacing, and acting; it was easy to fall in love. I agree - the rabbi is hot. : )
However, I felt a nagging discomfort with the portrayal of Jewish culture. Some innacuracies were just annoyingly jarring, like the Chanukah menorahs that kept appearing everywhere - his parents entry gate - for real? Or the vast wealth his first- generation immigrant parents had somehow amassed. Some, though, were more repellant, such as the constant use of the term, "shiksa," which is really not a nice thing to say. If I was around people who were earnestly using that term to describe someone, I would not want to hang out with them again. Adding to the offense, the first time the word is used, it is projected with scorn at a stranger based simply on how she looks. Repeatedly in the series, non-jews are identified by their blondeness. As a blonde Jewish woman, I am familiar with this kind of 'but you don't look Jewish" ignorance, but it doesn't come from within the Jewish community.
At best, these discordant elements felt under-researched; at their worst, they felt pandering and reliant on outdated racial stereotyping. I would love to see this improve in a second season!

Adam Brody and Kristen Bell have incredible on screen chemistry.
I really enjoyed this show - it was so much more than I was expecting.
It was easy to watch, relatable, super funny and charming throughout the entire 10 episodes. I do however wish the episodes were slightly longer - they averted about 26 - 30 minutes per episode but that also made it for a super easy watch. I binged the whole thing in one sitting last night.
I'm eagerly waiting for Netflix to confirm another season. If it doesn't get another, I'll be bummed. It left on a bit of a cliff hanger so I need more.
I'm already starting my second rewatch of the series.

I've just binge watched the series. Genuinely funny, and captured many essences of Jewish family life. Cleverly done, with great characters and acting. Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, and the other key characters were great, particularly Noah's Mum (the quintessential Jewish matriarch), Joanne's sister, Noah's brother Sacha, and Sacha's wife. Really hope there's a Season 2 to explore Joanne & Noah's relationship further, and see what the future holds for both of them personally and in their careers. I feel there is room for character development for both of Joanne's parents, especially her relationship with her father.
I am really enjoying this series, it takes me back to my single and dating days and leaves a smile on my face. It touches on very relatable and relevant topics(regarding dating and dating culture) in such a realistic matter simontanously, and doing so in a refreshingly unproblematic way, the way dating should be, honest dialog all throughout, no games.
Their chemistry is very sweet(of course it helps that they are both experienced, skillful actors individually) and it makes for a lovely watch bringing all those nostalgic feelings back.
Kristen Bell, I have followed since watching Veronica Mars as a young girl. And Adam Brody, my husband glanced at the TV saying: he hasn't changed since The O. C., he is right.
