Mitat

This absurd movie, taken from a book, explores the misadventures of this quirky, awkward man, Mitat. A self-described "lonely" man, Mitat suddenly goes from a hum-drum life to one of intrigue and mystery as he tries to absolve himself of the crime of murdering his neighbor, Yildiz. There are some funny moments, like when he imagines himself back in school and he wishes he were an unimportant organ, he just wants to hide from life. There are also some gruesome parts, like when his shower becomes blood, or many of the other imaginations he has. Some scenes were nostalgic as when it was set in the 60's. And often it was just plain confusing. There was a nod at the truth as well: sometimes people hide behind being religious when they are actually quite terrible.

The lead role was performed quite well by actor Kadir Dogulu. Otherwise, it was just a little underwhelming and very weird.
