I watched as long as I could stomach it and turned it off, the script is so bad that I felt sorry for the leads. It's supposed to be a light rom-com mystery, but it got lost at the beginning and it never found itself. Hallmark has produced some good murder mysteries but I hope this is the end of "The Jane Mysteries". The "Martha's Vineyard Mysteries" was one of the better mystery series they produced, they should resurrect. The plots were believable and the acting was good.
Stephen Huszar is always a good reliable performer in any film he's in, Jodie Sweetin did well. Paris Jefferson as Sadie was terrible, poor casting.

Well, it was just that: bad. Not that Hallmark mysteries are brilliant pieces, but many of them leave you with a warm feeling, they cheer you up.
This one was so bad, I didn't even finish it. Unfortunately mostly because of the main chatacter and the actress. Very unlikable.
There are some Hallmark mysteries with actresses, divas, etc. But this one is simply annoying.
The detective is fine, but that's it. A bit above average. I remember him in Rube Herring - he was just that, pretty face and little acting talent.
Kinda sad that they are making more of these films while there are so many left in limbo. Nevermind Mystery 101 - we lost hope. But what about Fixer Upper Mysteries, Emma Fielding Mysteries, etc?

Jane da Silva, an internationally renowned lounge singer's stint in Paris is cut short when she finds out that her uncle Harold has died. Jane returns to Baltimore, the town she left behind because it reminded her too much of her late mother, and learns that her uncle totally ran a nonprofit private eye service. Who knew? Not Jane - and now she's inherited a detective agency where she's suddenly the lead detective! She's not alone, though; Harold's wife Sadie (Paris Jefferson) is there to provide Jane with lots of wigs and she has an actual detective (Stephen Huszar) to ask for advice.
First case: Jane investigates a multi-level marketing company that took advantage of her client's (Danielle Smith) fragile mom, and realizes that digging up the past can be dangerous.
Jodie sweetin adds a bit of zest as the heroine of this Hallmark mystery and also shares a good chemistry with Stephen Huzar. It's standard light mystery bolstered by this chemistry and decent mystery. It's not on the level of Garage Sale Mystery or Mystery 101, but it's passable and enjoyable enough.

I loved this movie. Jodie Sweetin did a great job, they all did. I haven't seen her since the Full House days. All cast members were great. I loved the storyline. As a mom with an Angel Son in Heaven, you want the bad guy caught. The storyline was a great idea. So many cases of different types get dropped & to think you can make a difference & help a hurting family is incredible. I hope Hallmark continues this series, I love the romances but oh how I love the mysteries. An Aunt, a favorite niece, a nice looking detective & all are committed to helping families find their loved ones. Gone, but not forgotten.
The acting, the script, the directing- all miss the mark.
I wanted to like this. I watched it in January. I was burned out on two months of Hallmark Christmas movies and was looking forward to a good mystery. Unfortunately this wasn't it.
This wasn't cringe-worthy it just wasn't good enough to hold my attention.
The acting seemed stilted. It was wooden and lacked commitment. Perhaps if there was better directing the director could have gotten better performances from the actors.
I wonder why they greenlit this project because the script is slow moving.
