I really like this show too a lot I can't stop watching it yeah I know I see a lot of mixed reviews about Steph Curry's acting a lot of people saying he's a bad actor but some saying he's a good actor they're saying he needs to stick to basketball is saying he don't have no future in acting but after basketball he's going to probably want to do more acting and get more opportunities but I think he did good even though he played himself but his acting was good he did his thing but I would like to see a season 2 And for athletes who tried acting he got to be at least in the top 10 but I know acting he should do in the off-season and just focus on the NBA season.
I watched this show just because I'm a Steph fan and didn't expect much because, let's face it, athletes usually suck at acting... but I thoroughly enjoyed this show. Every episode had at least one laugh-out-loud moment, and even though the arc was predictable, the show still pulled it off nicely.
That said, Steph is my new favorite NBA Player/Actor. Lebron was funny in Trainwreck, Ray Allen was solid in He Got Game, Kareem was iconic in Bruce Lee's Game of Death, Kyrie was decent in Uncle Drew, and I have to give an honorable mention to Shaq for all the effort in his flicks... but Steph killed it in Mr. Throwback.

Given the lack of promotion around this show, I went in with pretty low expectations. But after watching all six episodes, I would definitely recommend it--particularly if you're a fan of Happy Endings, the prior collaboration of Adam Pally and David Caspe. While it doesn't have quite as high of a joke per minute ratio as that show, it has a similar sensibility and many clever set-ups and payoffs. Steph Curry isn't an actor, obviously, but is surprisingly charming here. And major props to the casting director for finding Layla Scalisi. There are so many shows that have been hampered by less than great child actors, but she is genuinely hilarious in her role. I really hope this one gets a second season.
I was genuinely invested in the idea of this show from its ads on Peacock and figured "Hey, why not? Let's see what Curry's up to." I was expecting a comedic show that would touch upon the intricacies of Curry's fame and success - - the things we don't see or often think about. I imagined continuous laughs and a decent, dare I say thrilling, plot line.
I was wrong.
This show is the epitome of what's wrong with modern television. Every dialogue was an opportunity to name drop some celebrity, brand, or pop culture reference I did not care about. The acting was just terrible. A mockumentary is no excuse for subpar delivery. The awkward moments weren't at all funny. They were just awkward.
The first episode was whatever. I ended up giving the show another chance but ultimately couldn't finish the second episode because there was nothing good. Can you imagine? A cast like that, all the cameos, all the resources for a sorry show. I'm heavily disappointed at how shallow Mr. Throwback is. If you're materialistic, obsessed with pop culture, and entertained by bad acting, this show's for you. For literally everyone else, save your time and move along.

This movie is so epic and strictly comedy. Steph Curry can even fit in any movie as a big character. Danny was so such mysterious man with different personalities so that he could reach at his dreams through the big lie for body fake health issues for his little girl. Am still waiting if there's going to be a plot to release the season two for this such wonderful story. And Steph has to be a big part of this film because he can play different roles and be very creative with his special abilities of talent. Am rating this movie at 9.7 percent because it's for my Idol and very great showman on and off the court. Award winning Series.
