Burn the books I say!
The series is going from strength to strength. But please do not entertain the idea of reading the books. It is an incredibly boring and unimaginative read... I mean I read 40 pages and decided to add the collection I bought on amazon to start my barbecue.
How these film producers managed to create this absolute masterpiece from the source material probably requires the channeling power of the dragon himself.
So if you thinking of watching this series. Please ignore the ghouls who read the books who drop 1 star reviews. You gotta feel sorry for them for having pushed through as far as they did!

We got THAT scene!!
I wanted to see Mat and Perrin continue to be developed after a poor showing in the previous seasons, and we are finally seeing it! Its great.
My one complaint with this season, same with others, is the amount of time we spending with none important characters like Maksim. I like him as a character and think the actor does a great job with him, but when you have a huge cast of important characters to develop, you shouldnt spend to much time on "side" characters.
I am also getting anxious we won't see Tam return this season even though hes been mentioned.
But was great to meet Faile and see Lord Luc! The Two Rivers story line was one of my favourites in the book and I can't wait to see how they handle it in the show.

The puncture has been repaired
So I gave a pretty scathing review for season 1 (primarily due to unforgivable deviation from source material + found it generally lacking). Season 2 was an improvement but still flawed.
First 3 episodes of season 3 and... @#!& I am in complete shock at the drastic improvements. Yes, there are still book deviations, but I actually felt immersed in the Wheel of Time world for the first time since watching the TV series.
I hate to compare it to Game of Thrones but the reality is that GOT set the standard bar (minus last couple of seasons) for how to do complex fantasy series on the big screen. The first three episodes of season 3 made me feel as though I was watching something close to that level in terms of great casting, political intrigue, and solid production value.
It's a shame (albeit deserved) that many people have probably checked out after the first two seasons but, for the people that stuck it out, you're about to experience something that has the potentiall to be better than Game of Thrones (if they keep improving like this).

Another great episode
So far, we haven't really had any bad episodes this season. And it's such a joy for me as a big book series fan. This episode prepared the plot to where it should go and it was done really well.
I'm immensely enjoying Mat this season. He's a joy to follow. His relationship with Min is great, his interactions with Galad are hilarious, and the general vibe is just right.
I also really enjoy the tower politics and can't wait to see where it leads us this season.
I absolutely love Siuan and Verin actresses from the previous season, and Elaida is such a great addition to the cast. The dynamics are just perfect, exactly as I imagined Tower intrigues.

Everything I look for in a fantasy series
As a long-time fantasy fan, I'm truly impressed and grateful for the quality of this show.
The character development, cinematography, landscapes, costumes, music, special effects, and above all, the story, everything feels refined and thoughtfully crafted. It's rare these days to find a fantasy series that strikes such a perfect balance between emotional depth and visual spectacle.
The show has it all: complex, multi-layered characters, suspenseful moments, action, humor, emotional scenes, and episodes that make you think. Although it's fantasy, many of the themes resonate with real-world issues and social dynamics.
It completely exceeded my expectations. Definitely feels like premium television. Highly recommended!
