The pseudoscience, the stilted expository conversations and performative amazement. It's as cringeworthy as you'd imagine. Particularly because it's not a parody. This show is delivered as though the work is sober and rigorous. Disco lasers "adding energy" to the environment... "This blob is an interference pattern"...
These grown adults grasp each flicker from their instruments, turn it into a quirky hypothesis and then leap to scientific certainty, all while proclaiming to be skeptical and serious-minded.
Maybe it sells, to some audiences. But, to anyone with any exposure to physics, audio, science, data analysis, or just common sense, you're in for a rough time.
In a nutshell, adults behave like imaginative kids who just got new toys, except with no humour.

They really had to pull out from Mount Wilson Ranch for their potential discovery of Manta Ray. Black suvs showed up, and I remember the group discussing that in season 2. It looks like it really happened. So much progress had been made there, and it is frustrating after putting so much work. I sensed back then that it's done deal in there after Travis & Brandon also saw it coming. Carl Crusher also booted out of the place when I saw he also reluctant to discuss it in his vlog. I was really eager to know more about that place, but it is just sad that Gatekeepers showed up and buried the project.
This show is not the same as SOSW. I generally enjoy shows like this, particularly SOSW. Andy Bustamante is just plain irritating. Both hosts just seem to be trying way too hard to take the show seriously and have developed use of trying to coin sophomoric phrases like "high strangeness" which in itself is hard to take seriously. Not surprisingly, on this show, they immediately have success finding abnormalities, and also not surprisingly, using much more modern equipment than their sister show, SOSW. These exceptionally more modern experiments would be more exciting on the original show.
I like the concept of exploring other sites that experience UFO-like abnormalities, but this show falls too short. Perhaps a new set of hosts and a less rushed pace. When Travis makes appearances on the show, even he has a "ahhh, sigh" look on his face when dealing with these guys. Do yourselves a favor and stick to the original show.

This show has a slightly different feel than 'The Secret...' but I love it just as much, particularly since it includes Eric and Travis for a brief time in the beginning and the end (I love those guys.)
I have loved Paul Beban and his mind since 'Paranormal Declassified,' a wonderful series of episodes of his brilliant investigative journalism dealing with a number of topics which interest me. This series also first introduced me to the wonderful Jonathan Dover, who has become an important part of the whole Skinwalker Ranch extended crew.
The pairing of Paul with Andy Bustamente works fine, and they take on a variety of places (and people) with great entusiasm and creative investigative vigor, using many of the main show's extended crew's technologists and experts. I think this show is an important part of the overarching investigation into the mysteries of our land. Love 'Beyond..' and want more, more, more!

I am a true believer in the paranormal. The reason for my leaving this review is that if you are trying to show if something does or doesn't conduct electricity you really should have used the same item ie., the blue opal or the quartz crystal, that were from different areas of the world. Seeing is believing and only a partial showing leaves doubts. By not proving beyond a reasonable doubt that these items would have reacted different even with them undergoing the same procedures leaves questions. Just because you say it does, doesn't prove it will. You need to have verifiable proof of the anomaly.
