"Lust, Magic, and the Witches' Sabbath" is a devilishly delightful treat for fans of indie horror, and Morrigan Thompson's magnetic presence only adds to its allure. As a devoted fan of Morrigan's work in the indie horror scene, I was thrilled to see her take the lead in this wild ride of a film.

Director A J Chambers, known for his quirky and adventurous films like "Babezilla vs the Zombie Whorde" and "Attack of the 50 foot Sphincter from Space," once again delivers an offbeat yet entertaining experience. This time, he plunges audiences into a world where young Morrigan's quest for a change of scenery leads her straight into the heart of a sultry, blood-soaked witches' Sabbath.

The casting is a standout, featuring the legendary Ari Lehman, the original Jason Voorhees, portraying the Devil himself. Morrigan Thompson holds her own, bringing depth and a sense of gritty determination to her character amidst the chaos. Clint Beaver complements the ensemble with his engaging performance, adding to the film's sleazy, yet oddly charming atmosphere, while Ivy Smith shines in her role as religious zealot Crazy Mary.

One of the film's strong suits is its soundtrack, which sets the mood perfectly, enhancing the eerie and seductive ambiance. Despite its short one-hour runtime, "Lust, Magic, and the Witches' Sabbath" wastes no time in delivering a rollercoaster of gore, magic, and unabashed fun.

For enthusiasts of indie horror looking for a unique and thrilling experience, this film is a must-watch. It's a raucous, blood-spattered romp that leaves a lasting impression, thanks to its stellar cast, quirky direction, and a twisted storyline that refuses to be forgotten.

Heading off on her own, a woman moving out of her parent's house for the first time and into the city meets up with a local woman who practices witchcraft like she does and invites her into the coven where she practices with several other witches which set her off into a path of destruction for her soul.

Overall, this was a pretty solid indie effort. One of the more enjoyable facets of this one is the general setup of the situation here which provides for a lot of fun to be had throughout here. The arrival at the new location and meeting like-minded individuals like her as well as the religious-minded one who tries to ensure that the side of the good of light is thrust upon her instead of the perceived wicked mindset, all of which manage to provide a strong opening setup to the actual powers of the coven she comes into contact with. Her ingrained innocence at everything they do against their natural and free-spirited governing makes for a nice contrast and gives the seduction attempts a slightly more sinister edge than expected here. This introduction into the coven and her acceptance as part of their ways works nicely when the general attitude to everything comes to a head with the sacrifice and her reaction to it all which comes together incredibly well to bring about the change in behavior and personality that she has going forward. This unbridled sense of sleaze and hallucinogenic visuals is a truly enjoyable and likable touch which is all really enjoyable with quite a lot to like although it does get help up at points involving the budgetary limitations featured here. The finale is incredibly rushed and the inability to see what happened to everyone is a big cheat to hold it back, but it's overall not a big issue here.

Relatively a low budget amateur independent. There are many type of films such as this but we just expect entertainment and creativity. The plot isn't exactly anything new or complex regarding a woman moving into a new area then seemingly being conducted into a cult of witches for their witchcraft.

With a short runtime only being an hour so the first half is essentially the introduction of the lead character Morgan.

The film progressed more into the second half once she moves into the new place and is introduced by the other woman.

Quickly there brief skin scene of Ivy Smith (Attack of the 50 Foot Cam girl) around 31:47 simply to release tension.

Following this, essentially the second half revolves around these woman stripping and prancing around a bonfire practicing witchcraft (36:45) These scenes essentially last about the remaining 20 minutes, including an explicit scene where the devil randomly appears and performs on the lead character starting around 48:15 - 50:00. The visual is definitely more blurry for an effect which works.

This is simply a film not to think too much about and to expect much. Nothing exactly new, clever or thought provoking. Outside of those brief scenes, nothing is memorable.
