Just came out of netflix today out of the blue and i just watch the first 30 minutes if its any good and boy this Series from thailand is just crazy. I will binge watch it because it only has 6 episodes. Just like in the description of the series that her life goes upside down when she receives a package in her front door after getting laid off from her job. Every episode so far im like how is she gonna get out of this mess. Whoever wrote this script and directed should be applauded for the story, plot, great acting and something new to offer. This is the first film from thailand that i really really like. Usually movies from Thailand that comes out are ghost, romantic type stuff but this series blows my mind away. Im the first one to review this series and i havent even finished yet and i think the last 2 episodes will be a cliff hanger.
This is so brilliant it simply oozes cool from every single pore
The way the story unfolds the way actors move the scenes in heaven all of it is sheer brilliance I am now watching the 1999 film Seis nueve (1999)it was based on
that too is pretty much the same but they updated it and wrote into it all the current dissent between the establishment and the youth very cunningly as almost any protest in Thailand is seen as a crime by mentioning by showing TV footage of the Hong Kong situation between the Chinese state and the students there.
So hardly any mention of the current chasm between the 20-year-olds and the geriatrics and Royal Court with its antiquated rules whereby criticising the king on Facebook can land you in prison for life and other ludicrous legislation which belongs to the Middle Ages.
The main actress Davika Hoorne here is absolutely excellent most of the other main players are also extremely good some of the scenes you're seeing there are so original to Western viewers That they will make your head spin.
Highly highly recommended. This is dark Humour at its best with the accent on humour.
PS and the soundtrack and use of incidental scores is corking all the way through.

These kind of series are not easy to make. Cohen brothers did it and now this is the next mark. Slow but enjoyable. The silence says a lot. A story about a package delivered to a wrong address and then all the twist and turns leads to a big big confusion. And yes its has a comical touch of afterlife and hilarious one. Overall the lead actress did a pretty good job with limited words expressed everything with her body language. It also have a lot of nudity and gives a complete touch to a dark comedy. The shooutout scene and all over the time taken to show it is perfect. I completely loved this series.
When watching this series, one often wonders whether it is an exceptionally amateurish series or an eccentrically, good series. Just when you think you've found the answer, you have to change your mind again after a while. And Again and again.
The plot of the series is rather used. Nothing new there. It's more about the way it's done. Despite the initial faults, I ended up watching the whole series. Despite all its faults, it was entertaining. The series was also such that you could really expect anything from the next scene. This also made me want to keep watching.
The series had partly a weirdly good '80s synth soundscape. Unfortunately, this was not relied on enough, but was interspersed with traditional melodramatic piano thumping and strings. What a let down.
Series also featured the world's most picked door lock, the world's longest made tiny tattoo and the longest strangulation scene without death.

This series portrays Thai culture to the max! There is bribery with bags of money. There is an insurance company where the employees wear orange jackets. During the pandemic, in Thailand insurance companies almost went broke with all the Covid insurance payments they had to make. One did go bankrupt. The government had to force them to make payments. In the series they mention the saying "juh jai jop." It doesn't translate as funny in English "get Covid, insurance pays, end." All this from real life was used in the series, although it doesn't translate well. However in the Thai language it is hilarious. TH Dave Chaichanbutr as Sonny is great! He is in the police force in real life. He's not an actor! All the actors did an excellent job. The series had subtle humor and reflected the many quirks of Thai life, from people playing chess all day in a parking garage, to the different groups wearing different color uniforms, to the giggling girls who turn nasty - but it's so funny! Of course, meanwhile, protests are going on. Director Pen-Ek Ratanaruan did a magnificent job, especially since this is a remake of his old movie. He made it into so much more. It's great!
