DNA explores the haunting plight of a woman in labor, dismissed as mentally unstable by her own family. After delivering her baby, she catches a glimpse of the child before passing out, only to wake up and insist that the baby handed to her is not hers. Is it postpartum depression, her fragile mental state, or something far more unsettling?
Nimisha Sajayan, as always, delivers a performance far beyond excellence, anchoring the film with raw intensity and quiet strength. Unfortunately, the rest of the cast often feels miscast and out of sync with the film's emotional gravity. The plot itself is compelling and thought provoking, but the narrative could have been tighter and more layered to fully do justice to its premise.

First of all both the male leads nailed in their acting. Atharva I did not expect so much from him but he surprised me with his acting and fight scenes. I hated parents character too much. I love crime thriller so I tried this and I don't regret one bit. The second half made me sit on the edge of the seat.
At its core, DNA is about a baby kidnapping, and while the premise sounds straightforward, the way it's handled is anything but typical. The film really leans into the emotional chaos and trauma that follows such an incident. It's intense, raw, and painfully close to reality in a way that stays with you.
Atharva carries most of the screen time, and he does a solid job. But for me, it was Nimisha who stole the show - despite limited scenes, she had me completely glued, always wondering what she'd do next.
The casting overall was excellent - especially the elderly woman and the retiring police officer, both of whom added authenticity and heart to the story.
If I had to nitpick, the first 20 minutes could've been tighter, and the love-failure song felt totally unnecessary. Also, the sudden closeness between the leads in marriage lacked backstory, which made it a bit hard to emotionally connect to their bond.
Still, these are small flaws in what's otherwise a gripping, emotional thriller. It highlights the darkness of the world we live in, while also showing the resilience, love, and courage that help people push through.

A family drama! A man addicted to alcohol post breakup chooses to get married to a girl with borderline disorder personality n then their just born child is exchanged in hospital n rest of the movie is about how the father finds the lost child in 21 days. Execution looks a bit unrealistic but a decent family drama though. An average one time watch. Originally a Tamil movie dubbed in all South Indian languages including Hindi as well. Available in JioHotstar, my ratings 6/10!

A great story and a good screenplay. Everyone's acting is very good. The acting is good. The character of the old lady in this is very good. The plot starts with an idea. The love struggle of a mother and father. The film is wonderfully made to captivate us till the end except for a few places. A good family film. Everyone can watch this with their family.
