My Golden Blood isn't the kind of series that'll blow your mind, but it's still a fun ride if you don't go in expecting too much. The overall plot is pretty easy to predict, and it follows the usual bl formula without many risks. That said, I really liked the core idea behind the series. Still, there were a few moments that caught me off guard in a good way, which kept me watching.
What truly stood out and, honestly, what made the experience unforgettable was the special effects editing in the first and final episodes. I'm talking next level, low budget, green screen fever dream energy. It was so unexpected and over the top that it became a highlight in its own it was so bad it was perfect.
It might not be flawless, but it's definitely worth watching ,just don't go in expecting anything groundbreaking. It's a pretty standard, predictable series, but the main couple had decent chemistry and carried the story well. If you're in the mood for something simple with a few moments that don't go exactly how you'd expect, My Golden Blood delivers just that.

Okay, besties, grab your snacks and clear your schedule because My Golden Blood (2025) is THE Thai BL vampire drama you NEED in your life! As a fangirl who's been screaming about this series since episode one, let me spill all the tea on why this show is a glittering masterpiece that'll have you hooked faster than a vampire craving golden blood.
First off, the plot is straight out of a Wattpad fever dream, and I mean that in the best way possible. We've got Tong, this adorable 20-year-old with rare, irresistible "Golden Blood" that makes every vampire lose their minds. He's been told he has hemophilia and must avoid cuts at all costs, but of course, chaos ensues when he accidentally bleeds at a fancy event. Enter Mark, the brooding, 200-year-old vampire heir of the Amarittrakul family, who's all sexy stoicism and protective vibes. The moment their eyes lock, it's like the universe screams, "SOULMATES!" Mark's mission? Protect Tong from bloodthirsty vampires (including the unhinged Nakan, a 250-year-old vamp with serious villain energy) and, oh yeah, from himself because Tong's blood is basically vampire catnip. The stakes (pun intended) are sky-high, blending romance, danger, and fantasy into a deliciously addictive cocktail.
Now, let's talk about the chemistry between Joss Way-Ar Sangngern (Mark) and Fluke Gawin Caskey (Tong) because, OH MY GODS, it's INSANE. Every glance, every touch, every angsty "I must protect you" moment had me clutching my heart and yelling, "JUST KISS ALREADY!" Joss plays Mark with this perfect mix of tortured vampire intensity and soft, yearning devotion, while Gawin's Tong is all wide-eyed innocence with a side of cheeky charm. Their dynamic is funny, sexy, and so swoon-worthy that you'll be shipping them harder than a FedEx truck. Fans on X are losing it over their "mesmerizing" eyes and "seductive" vibes, and trust me, you will too.
The show isn't just a pretty face (though, wow, the visuals!). The production is stunning-think dynamic camera work, moody lighting, and sets that make Bangkok look like a gothic fairytale. Sure, some CGI (like that high-rise glass jump) is a bit wonky, but the story and cast are so captivating that you'll barely notice. The pacing keeps you on edge, with each episode dropping new twists, vampire lore, and romantic tension that makes waiting for the next one pure torture.
As a fangirl, I'm obsessed with how My Golden Blood nails the vampire-human trope without feeling like a Twilight knockoff. It's got all the romantic tropes we love-size difference, protective older love interest, beach scenes, and yearning galore-but it feels fresh and uniquely Thai. Plus, the humor and heart keep it from being too heavy, making it perfect for both BL veterans and newbies. X fans are calling it a "breath of fresh air" and rating it "100/100," and I'm right there with them.
So, why should you watch? Because My Golden Blood is a rollercoaster of feels that'll make you laugh, cry, and scream at your screen. It's a love story that's equal parts epic and intimate, wrapped in a fantasy world that's impossible to resist. Whether you're here for the Joss-Gawin eye candy, the vampire drama, or the heart-melting romance, this series delivers. Don't sleep on this gem-start watching on GMMTV or wherever you stream, and join the fangirl army!

Ok, hear me out. Gotta say I was quite dubious at the beginning when they first announced the casting and also with the plot. I've been a twilight fan in my teenager years, so I felt I had kinda outgrown that trope? The whole "I can't resist your blood but I will force myself to, even if it physically pains me to even breathe the same air as you?" Frankly speaking I never understood how Edward and Bella managed when she was on her period- but that's besides the point. Sorry.
Aaanyway, I am loving it. Those two actually work together pretty well! They're funny and sexy and cute and the chemistry is THERE! And all the interviews material? Loving it !! And both of them being fluent enough so that we - as international fans - can participate without always needing to rely on subs! Great!!! Tanto amore dall'Italia 🇮🇹
Plot wise, I'm still kinda waiting for the drama to actually start, but I'm guessing it's due very very soon, but I'm loving how realistic it is - Mark being a vampire and their "intimacy" being a bit difficult and all. I liked that they didn't make it easy.

It's my first BL in so many years, and oh my god, I loved it! I loved everything-their chemistry, the characters, everything!😆✨.
I enjoyed each and every episode the moment between mark and tong and I'm not kidding when I say it is a good series far more better than I expected it to be.
Highly recommended, watching them gave me butterflies in my stomach, they were both chaotic and lovely couple, they really did a good job
And the graphic of vampires wasn't that bad either And I really enjoyed watching both the actors working together hope they are going to keep working together coz their chemistry is no joke.

My Golden Blood tells the story of Tong, a 20-year-old who believes he has hemophilia, but in truth, possesses a rare and powerful golden blood, irresistible to vampires. While Mark is a 200-year-old vampire assigned to protect and care for Tong.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the series, it was engaging and well-paced. However, the rest of the episodes became somewhat uneven. Some scenes dragged, while others remained captivating enough to keep me watching. What really held my interest was the curiosity about how things would unfold. The pacing overall was decent, especially in terms of the characters realizing their feelings; it didn't feel overly drawn out.
The romance between Mark and Tong felt natural, with undeniable chemistry between them. Their kisses and intimate scenes were realistic and never felt forced. The acting was solid across the board. Joss was perfectly cast as Mark: handsome, sexy, mysterious, and stoic. He absolutely understood the assignment. Fluke, as Tong, embodied the role of a naive, kind-hearted, and cheerful young man with sincerity and warmth.
As for the twist involving Thara, I saw it coming. She gave off shady vibes from the beginning, so her reveal as the villain wasn't surprising.
Supporting Characters:
Tonkla - Tong's best friend, almost like a brother. He's supportive and protective, though initially unaware of Tong's blood and the vampire world. Eventually, his close bond with Tong pulls him into the chaos, adding another emotional layer to the story.
Nakan - A 250-year-old vampire and Mark's relative. Striking, charismatic and powerful, he initially comes off as a manipulative antagonist, especially through his control over Tonkla. But later, he sides with Mark and Tong, revealing deeper motives. His desire to take down Thara stems from a personal vendetta, she killed his best friend, who also had golden blood.
Thara - The authoritative leader of the vampires. She's manipulative, deceptive, and ultimately driven by greed. While she hides behind a calm, commanding facade, her obsession with golden blood and using it for her own gain, especially as a cure when she's sick exposes her true nature.
Technical Aspects:
The cinematography was visually appealing, with atmospheric tones that suited the vampire theme well. The OST deserves special praise, absolutely chef's kiss. The music enhanced the emotional beats of the story beautifully. Kudos to the team for creating such memorable tracks.
Final Thoughts:
The series started strong with a promising premise and solid emotional core. However, the latter half suffered from weaker writing. Some scenes felt like filler and there were noticeable plot holes that could have been tightened up. That said, I still enjoyed My Golden Blood for what it was, a supernatural romance with intriguing characters, good chemistry, and standout performances. It's not perfect, but it's definitely worth a watch, especially for fans of the vampire BL genre.
