A RARE 10/10 Kdrama
I just finished You and Everything Else and honestly... wow. This drama is an easy 10/10 for me, and I don't give those out lightly. It now sits in my elite list with When Life Gives You Tangerines, My Dearest, Our Movie, Reply 1988, Flower of Evil, and Crash Landing on You. That's how much it hit me.
The acting? On another level. I think it might be the best I've ever seen in a K-drama, and Park Ji Hyun absolutely blew me away. Every little glance, every pause, every crack in her voice carried so much weight. She made her character feel so real that I almost forgot I was watching a show.
What really struck me was how simple yet deep the story was. It's not about big twists or flashy gimmicks - it's about the messy, complicated reality of friendship. The way the two leads loved each other, but at the same time carried so much jealousy, resentment, and rivalry... it was heartbreaking and beautiful. I loved how both of them saw the other as "unbeatable," which made their dynamic so tense yet so full of admiration.
And don't even get me started on the love triangle. It was honestly one of the most engaging I've ever watched. I kept switching sides, rooting for one girl and then the other - and that's because the writing made both of them feel so human and valid. It wasn't about right or wrong, it was about perspective.
The ending absolutely wrecked me. It was heartfelt, emotional, and left me sitting in silence after the credits rolled. Rarely does a finale feel this satisfying yet this devastating at the same time.
You and Everything Else isn't just a good drama - it's a masterpiece that I know will stick with me for a long time.

What a beautiful finale and friendship
The series has an appealing atmosphere and characters, but its storytelling is extremely slow. With its character dialogues, resolution of events, and unnoticed time skips, it eventually starts to tire the audience. However, its finale takes away this weariness from the viewers.
What a beautiful finale and friendship.

Shades of friendship
This series was a haunting, fascinating,slow-paced exploration of friendship not the easy, comfortable kind, but one built on tension, admiration, and quiet care.
Sang-yeon was lonely, self-destructive, emotionally guarded and quietly craved for warmth. Eun-jung in contrast, was bright and compassion embodied, but her light only deepend Sang yeon's sense of darkness. Each girl envied what the other has, an envy rooted in deep admiration and bitterness.
Their bond was not hatred it was something far more complex, a sacred tension. However, it's painful to see in someone else the version of yourself you long to be, yet that pain was what made their connection unforgettable.
Sang yeon's tragic death showed how unhealed wounds can consume someone because of sensitivity and cracks no one else can see.
Their friendship was quiet, and hard to name, but it was unbreakable. They reminded me that friendship doesn't always look like affection or kindness it can take the form of pain, reflection, and growth. Sometimes the people who challenge us most, who bring out our deepest insecurities, are also the ones who change us forever. As I expected the series made me stream down a river of tears.

Finding Ease in the Slow Burn of You And Everything Else
I think part of the reason this drama resonated with me is because I had already seen "SoulMate" and remembered director Derek Tsang once saying he grew up surrounded by his mother and a group of women. He observed how close friends could fight in the morning and end up crying in each other's arms by the afternoon. That kind of complicated, delicate bond between women really struck him-and that's why he could direct SoulMate with such depth. For me, it opened up a new way of seeing female friendship and the world of emotions within it.
When it comes to women's closest friendships, emotions are never just black and white. There's jealousy, insecurity, and the quiet sense of never being as good as the other. Sometimes there's hidden competition, but at the same time, genuine care and deep affection. It's all so subtle, yet so real. A person's traits can be their greatest strength, but also the very thing that ruins them. Love and hate are often two sides of the same coin. Being able to be at ease really depends on whether your heart is soft enough, spacious enough.
The show doesn't rely on heavy-handed plotting or cheap sentiment. Its strength lies in simple but powerful dialogue and performances that gently tug at your heart again and again. Even in its more emotional moments, nothing feels forced-it all feels natural, inevitable. That's something I don't often feel with other dramas, which tend to lean on melodrama or overdone emotion.
"You And Everything Else" gave me a new kind of experience, something I didn't expect. Of course, if you're not into slow-burn storytelling, the pacing might feel too drawn out. But for me, that very slowness is what made everything fall perfectly into place.
