I like The Loud House spinoff show The Casagrandes that started in 2019, which ended in 2022, because I thought it was an enjoyable animated show with likable characters and a nice-looking animation style like The Loud House; I am hoping that at least the movie on Netflix is had what I liked about the show since this a conclusion for the show, especially since this film is not going down the musical route like The Loud House Movie (2021), which I did not expect. The Netflix film The Casagrandes Movie (2024) is an enjoyable enough film that has good voice acting, nice-looking 2D animation, a good enough and interesting villain, likable main characters, and some new elements added into this film that were not established in the show; this film is not spectacular by any means but it was a good conclusion of sorts to the show that people who watched the show will like, and for those who have not seen the show, the film is good and enjoyable enough so you do not have to see the show to watch this movie.
The main Casagrande family is likable enough, with Ronnie Anne Santiago trying to get alone time on her twelfth birthday away from her family, until accidentally releasing a demigod; I like Ronnie Anne trying to fix what she did by working with her family, and since her and her mother tend to disagree, her mom has to learn to give Ronnie Anne space to be on her own and Ronnie Anne has to fix her issues and make up with her mom by the end. The rest of the Casagrande family are not in the film that much, but they are entertaining and likable enough with each one of them having a certain personality or quirk, along with them helping in the third act; I like the family relationship between Ronnie Anne and her family, and I would have liked to have seen them more because they are not given much to do. Lastly, the history of Mexico and the Casagrande family was interesting, along with the new additions of demigods and magic that was not in the show but was cool seeing with the improved animation and the bright visuals to make it investing to watch.
The villain is this demigod Punguari who was fine, like she is not bad or anything, I just thought she was a good enough villain for a movie like this, with her backstory having a connection of sorts the Casagrande family and her being a angst filled teenager who wanted to be a god despite not being ready for it; the elements introduced in this were not established in the show, that being any magic or god elements, which is used in the villain's plan in some way involving taking over Mexico for her own doing. The 2D animation looks the same as the show just with more movements and certain shading details to make it look improved on with bright visuals/colors making Mexico look pretty, and there was an occasional funny moment; there is not much else to say because this film does not have a complicated premise or anything or anything really big or noteworthy, I will just say that this was an easy watch.

The last thing I will say is that I would recommend giving some episodes of the show a watch because I do think it is a good enough show, with it being enjoyable to watch; for the film, it is just a fine animated movie that is worth watching at least once.

I really love The Casagrandes movie it's such a treat, the animation for the movie is even better and has a lot of shading which makes the movie stand out, The Casagrandes live is a great movie that has a lot of humor, culture, heart, a lot of beautiful color when it comes to animation and some very cool surprises, also captures the heart of a mother daughter relationship between Ronnie Anne and Maria and it's very nice to see Maria have a huge role in the movie opposed to the series cause in the series she has barley focus props to the actors such a Izabella Alveraz, Sumalee Mantano, and Paulina Chavez who nailed their scenes with their characters especially Izabella as Ronnie Anne and of course props to the man who directed the movie Miguel Puga and to be honest it might be better than The Loud House Movie but I also highly recommend this movie it's so so good.
So The Loud House Movie (2021) is in my worst 5 movies of all time, and as you can imagine I was not happy to hear The Casagrandes spin-off was getting its own movie.
But because I'm a masochist I gave it a watch. I was cringing almost immediately with the completely gratuitous and out-of-place SpongeBob/Rocko reference. That part was so bad that it could rival the worst aspects of The Loud House Movie.
Surprisingly though, that was the only thing in the movie that actively angered me. The rest of it was just boring, bland, lifeless sludge.
And that's the thing. The 2021 Loud House Movie and everything about it fills me with rage -- its very existence makes me angry. But I'm really not feeling the same level of hatred with The Casagrandes Movie, perhaps because it's just that dull.
Don't get me wrong, The Loud House Movie was indeed boring but that was the least of its sins given how utterly mind-blowingly terrible and frustrating everything else was.
The Casagrandes Movie's biggest sin (the aforementioned SpongeBob/Rocko thing aside) is just how utterly vapid it is.
This may be the single most bland, boring, lifeless, empty and SOULLESS movie I have ever seen.
I'm not even mad at this movie, I just find it incredibly sad.

Poorly paced, unfocused, and with a plethora of clichés displayed in almost every scene, this movie deserves the minimal rate possible.
Just in the first 30 minutes, you can realize how poorly structured this movie truly is: It's only exposition after exposition with the most heavy-handed approach you can imagine.
On the other hand, the animation, soundtrack and voice performances are as generic as you expect. This only exacerbates the dullness and lack of direction of this film.
In conclusion, I don't think I can recommend this movie to anyone.
This isn't even a "so bad it's good" type of movie, it's just boring; Consistently boring.

I absolutely loved this movie and will definately watch it again, the animation is brilliant out of all the movies i've seen that are animated, personally I think its a very bright and refreshing movie to others like it i've seen, the overall story to the movie was, in my opinion which others may not agree with, is fantastic. I think it also puts a very important yet not overly presented message about mothers caring about their children and perhaps being misunderstood and presented as 'strict' or 'controlling', I also find the characters to be very funny often within the movie despite it being a kids movie, I think the voice acting in this movie was great and any lines/points needed to be made were made clearly. Overall I personally think this movie is a 10/10 and i'll 100% be rewatching this soon one of my favourite movies and I highly recommend you watch this yourself/with kids.
