Boardwalk Winter

Every component that makes a great movie is in Boardwalk winter; well developed Characters, clever writing which is thought out and naturally moves the story along, artistic and well lit cinematography that does not distract but enhances each scene, a set that's at a gorgeous location what makes you want to be there, cute and inspirational wardrobe, humor that is laugh out loud (I'm a hard cookie to crack and this totally did it for me) but also important messages which still have you thinking about the movie the next day and how it applies to your life. This was the first movie I have seen from Wondermade Productions and I was SO impressed and seriously can't wait for more!

I'm a sucker for a good, slightly cheesy Hallmark type film, which this one is. The fact that it was set on a beautiful beach only made it that much more fun to watch! I loved seeing the actor's chemistry on-screen and wishing I could be taking a long walk on the beach right next to them! This is a movie that will have you laughing in one scene and crying in the next, so be ready for all the feels. It's definitely a movie I could rewatch again and again as a feel-good pick me up and I've already been telling everyone I know about it. I can't wait to see more of what this production company will produce!

I live in Virginia Beach so it was fun seeing our beautiful beach featured in a film! They definitely highlighted a few locals favorites. Jonathan Fox wrote and directed such a heart warming and funny story. Natalie Veater made Fern come alive with sweet sincerity. The chemistry between her and Chris Maher as Cole felt genuine and earnest. It was fun getting to know those two characters through their dates. Brian Dijols and Victoria Jackson as Skip and Mrs. Kellogg respectively were comedic highlights. The reggae musical score gave such a cool beach vibe. Overall this was a really charming and uplifting film!

This movie is a thoughtful, slightly quirky look at what it means to live fully when time feels limited. The story follows a young woman who, after receiving life-changing news, decides to move to the beach, rent out part of her home to a gamer, and throw herself into the chaos of modern dating.

While the premise could lean heavy, the film handles it with a light touch and a lot of heart. The characters are endearing, the humor feels natural, and the situations-though sometimes absurd-are grounded in real emotion. It explores love, loneliness, and the strange ways we try to find meaning and connection.

It's not flashy or overly dramatic, but that's part of its charm. A quiet, off-center story that sneaks up on you in the best way.

I typically don't watch rom-coms, or other romance-type movies, but I really enjoyed Boardwalk Winter. The storyline is great, the cinematography is really well-done, and the characters are really funny and likeable. Not to mention, the messages contained within this movie are also uplifting and inspiring. Also, the locations that were used for the filming of the movie looked amazing; if you are from Virginia Beach, I'm sure you'll be able to recognize most of the places.

I cannot recommend Boardwalk Winter enough for anybody who wants to see a hilarious rom-com with good messages and an uplifting story.
