The joke of calling someone 30 old and the main character bantering about his age like he's 60years old gets tiring. I don't even think someone 40 would cut it for the degree of ageism that is depicted as the running joke in this anime. Maybe if the main character was 50,60 or even 70 it would make more sense but I have to remember these shows are made for 12-14yo's that think someone 18 is old to them.
That's really all this anime is about. A guy being super strong and being called old every 5 minutes because he's 30. There is no real plot or even a villain and the series is highly and I do mean highly forgettable. By the time I looked up the show was 4 episodes from being over and I couldn't believe it because I felt like I was still watching the first episode.
I've never seen an anime that had no real story to follow. It's like the show is forever introducing the characters and you're waiting for the story to begin and next thing you know it's over.
This is probably a show best savored for children ages 10-14. It's incredibly underwhelming.

My kind of fun, was looking for a new anime to watch and found myself binge watching a lot of episodes, it's not too serious and the fights are pretty kool. It's just an easy watch. The intro song is kind of odd lol and it gives me hunter x hunter vibes, so i like it now. I love how strong the characters are. A little too much talking between fights but I guess that's standard with anime.
I like Angelica character development, looking forward to seeing what her brothers think of her change.
Not alot more to say lol but i recommend you check out this show if your looking for something new and you enjoy shows like hunter x hunter.

If you're looking for an anime that's both fun and easy to watch, this is a great choice. The show strikes a perfect balance between lighthearted entertainment and engaging storytelling, making it an enjoyable experience from start to finish. The plot might not be groundbreaking, but it's charming in its simplicity, with an overpowered protagonist that doesn't realize how powerful he is.
One of the highlights of the series is how it seamlessly blends action and comedy, keeping the pacing fast and entertaining without ever feeling too heavy or overly dramatic. The protagonist, a middle-aged man thrown into the world of adventurers after maxing his abilities out, provides a refreshing perspective compared to the typical young hero, adding a unique twist to the familiar fantasy genre.
In terms of animation and fight scenes, while it may not boast the most cutting-edge visuals, the show makes up for it with a solid consistency in quality and an energetic vibe that matches the tone perfectly. Each member of the powerful adventurer party brings their own unique charm to the series, making the dynamics between characters fun to watch.
It's surprising that this anime isn't rated higher because it delivers exactly what it promises: a light, enjoyable, and amusing watch that doesn't require too much emotional investment. For those seeking a break from more intense or complicated storylines, this series provides a refreshing dose of straightforward adventure and comedy. I highly recommend giving it a try if you're in the mood for something that's both entertaining and stress-free.

I just finished watching this anime, and I absolutely loved it! I got hooked right from the first episode and couldn't stop until I'd binged the entire season in one go. The animation was solid, and the character designs stood out, especially the main guy as an older, unlikely hero--it felt fresh and unique. The balance of humor and action was spot-on, keeping things entertaining without ever feeling over-the-top. The intense training scenes were brutal but made his growth feel so satisfying. The powerful party was hilarious and had great dynamics with the protagonist. I'd love to see a season 2 because this story has so much potential to keep going!

Cinematography / Animation: The animation in this anime is INCREDIBLE! You will NOT be disappointed. The fight scenes were so fun to watch because they were animated so well. I've seen many people talk about the fights towards the end of the anime, but not many talking about the very first fight. That was the start of how great this animation was going to be.
Editing: We definitely had a story here. Rick wanted to be an adventurer. We got the backstory to how he got his REAL start, we got the backstory on his training, among a few other things. And they were placed properly as well... obviously annoying when they have to happen during a fight scene, but they actually are informative and make sense. There were no moments in the anime where a cut or episode did not make sense (as in, it was out of place). One thing that stood out was the character development of two specific characters. Most anime's I have seen with rivals, the rival constantly just hates the other and it becomes unbearable but in this case, they actually accepted Rick (to some degree).
Mise en Scene: One thing I liked about this anime is that if something was broken, it stayed broken. There are so many times where you cut to something and it isn't the way it was in the previous scene. But in many fight scenes and even some scenes that weren't fight scenes. The continuity between scenes were good, and even if things weren't the same, they either showed you why or told you why so you weren't left in the dark.
Performance: I want to compliment the emotion portrayed by each individual character in this anime. But I specifically want to applaud Takuya Satou (Rick) and Katsuyuki Konishi (Kelvin). Rick's ever changing emotion was fun to watch. I specifically enjoyed when he was angry (on someone else's behalf) or scared. Those two emotions were portrayed PERFECTLY in my opinion. As for Kelvin, the defining moment for me was how the actor portrayed him when he was having fun. That one emotion in response to someone else, gave me goosebumps.
Sound: The sound was incredible. The sounds in the fight scenes, the sounds when emotions were expressed, there was not a single sound in this anime I did not like. I will say... one character's voice irritated me, but it was necessary and I still enjoyed every sound despite that.
Overall this should definitely be an anime on your watch list. I hope it gets a second season.
