Its a great blend of the original format of the show whilst keeping it relevant to current times with enough change to jeep it fresh and interesring.
I had reservations about it before it was released but im pleased to say that its just as fun as the original series with Billie being amazingly similar to alex with the boys being perfectly written as Justin's and Max's characters.
Absolutely love the twists with Billie learning to control her magic as well as the brilliant stories and funny moments.
The familiarity and use of original sets and subtle character mentions make this a must watch for anyone who was a fan of the original series.

I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would.
David Henrie is brilliant in this, I love his performance. The kids do a great job.
The show does have a few cheesy lines but looking back the original show did too.
I actually laughed out loud.
Only two episodes so far. I believe it was a good introduction to Billie, they were cast perfectly. I wish we'd have a more teenager cast like the old show. Why is it most Disney shows nowadays are very young kids? Did it use to be like this in the golden Disney days or I'm just getting old?
Anyway, I still think they did the right thing with the casting, the show is good so far and I hope they don't cancel this.
Can't wait to see what comes next.

So I watched the first 2 episodes and here's what I have to say...
Justin is still funny, Alex is still Alex, Billie is adorable, The plot is okay, the theme is okay, I'm glad that Max is a billionaire, everything is okay. However there are things that are very confusing like how did Justin get fired from a "unicorn incident" and how does he have the powers? If he has two kids, would they have powers too? Also why didn't he just tell his wife that he was a wizard after he was fired? And what why did Justin and Juliet break up? There are so many questions that needs to be answered. But overall it's fun, it's enjoyable.

I love that it's a reboot of a show we all loved, and although it's for kid's, many people watching are adults that are lovers of the original. That being said, besides Justin and Alex, the characters & script are badly written. The entire premise feels lazy. There is no natural progression of the story and it all feels forced. Everyone knows wizards exist and the magic doesn't feel special anymore. The children are written without their own specific personalities and are just far too precocious. None of the lines are funny and the audience struggles to connect with any of the new characters. The original was more mature and well written. Overall just disappointed.
I cried at the end of the first episode...this show is so special to me and for so many people who grew up watching this, and I rewatched it 2x and it is still funny and has a place in my heart like no other show from that era. They did it great back then and I believe it still going to be amazing now. I was so worried that it would be like Raven's Home (that sadly was kinda of boring just focusing on kids and barely Raven's problems) but here the magic and wizard world is still the main focus and that is amazing! No other show by Disney channel had so much importance than Wizards Of Waverly Place, 4 seasons, 1 movie, 1 special after the show ended and now a reboot!
Give it a try you won't regret, your inner child will be proud of you.

- CuriosidadesMost of the furniture in The Lair is the original furniture from the original series.
- PifiasA major theme of the original Wizards of Waverly Place series was that Wizards cannot marry Non-Wizards. This rule was what lead Jerry Russo to surrender his powers, giving him the ability to marry Theresa. Since Justin still maintains his magic and Wizard status, he should not have been able to marry Giada, a Non-Wizard.
