Vert good.. Superb film. Its a shame that our ass licking media missed it, as there was no khans.
It's a low budget movie, still it was very nicely crafted. Had there been slightly better financed things like VFX, Set, etc could had been better.... so our financiers should back such attempts.
It has showed our triumptant rich history which the psedo secular-biased historian-politico nexus had kept intentionally dark.
We read about Aurangzeb but never about the hero who won more than 120 battles. Pathetic Thakur Anup was amazing, superb. He showed supreme acting skills and was extremely proficient. Direction, screen play, script etc were excellent. Altogether a very good moview. Cudos to the makers. Bravo.

This series is divided into three parts out of which this was the first part but was of disappointments.
The Movie Len was too long that of 3 hours and the film felt to be quite boring at some scenes.
The only best part of the movie was the 20 min Historic Janjira Sequence of Sea Battle with warships! First time ever in history of Indian films such a scene was made in a movie.
But, Burhanpur Scene was the Worst. Sambhuraje is shown as a Villain.
The Background Score was much good.
Although the acting of other actors & Thakur Anoop Singh and his physical structure was upto the mark, BUT;
1. The film had many unrealistic scenes that as of South India industry which was the worst part and the makers called it Hollywood level! Pls measure the wt of a real canon. Sambhuraje was a man of strategy, valour and strength but is depicted as a Superhuman instead!
2. Sambhuraje fought with a tiger not a tigress while saving the girl. Why changing History & Folklore?
3. The romantic song Jiya Jaye Na was not needed at all and made it more boring.
4. This is a plight that there is a whole Bollywood Item song, in such a historical movie which kids too will watch, instead they could have just shown a very short scene to depict the bad qualities of villain.
5. The direction was not that good and so much ugly and unneeded violence which just ruined an good topic film and blockbuster storyline. The sets and makeup look of actors looked unreal, extravagant non historic stories and dialogues were made and too much use of VFX.
Conclusion:-Overall the film is not that worth watching except Janjira Scene and feels like an insult to Sambhuraje and Swaraj,
Instead watch Lanjekar's Shivrayancha Chhaava which is not better but well researched than this movie which -highly lacks in narration and character development!
I request all directors on behalf of Maharashtra to research facts and documents first and make a realistic movie which will not be insulting as Sharad Kelkar Har Har Mahadeo.
Don't earn money under name of our great ancestors. Jai Hind Jai Bhavani.

The Marathi film Dharamveer Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is a commendable initiative by the Marathi film industry that deserves accolades. The movie delves into the life of one of Maharashtra's most revered historical figures, offering a refreshing perspective on his personality and struggles.
While there are moments where a Bollywood-esque touch is evident-be it in the dramatization or the action sequences-it doesn't overshadow the essence of the story. Instead, it adds a layer of mass appeal, making the movie accessible to a wider audience.
Overall, Dharamveer Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is not just a film but a tribute to a legacy that continues to inspire generations. It's a must-watch for history enthusiasts and cinema lovers alike.

Just watched Dharmarakshak Mahaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Marathi Movie.
It's disheartening, really, to witness how a truly commendable film gets such limited attention-a handful of screens and barely any audience. Meanwhile, baseless movies like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Singham 2 manage to rake in seven or eight shows a day. Yet a film that pays tribute to our real heroes and highlights their sacrifices struggles to get even two screens.
The irony runs deeper when we think about what this particular movie represents-a tribute to historical heroes who fought for the very identity and freedoms we now take for granted.
The current education system has reduced their stories and legacies to mere piece of information, dry fragments of trivia. And today's generation? Can we really blame them for not knowing these names when we ourselves have failed to keep their memory alive? At least some of us were fortunate enough to grow up reading their stories in our history books.
As for the movie itself, it's one of the best ever made on Sambhaji Raje. The visuals rival the best of Bollywood's big-budget productions, proving once again that creativity doesn't require deep pockets.
The cinematography and sets are nothing short of stunning, and the performances-especially Thakur Anup Singh's portrayal of Sambhaji Raje-are exceptional. He's bound to leave a lasting mark in the industry. The BGM, compositions, and songs are superb, adding layers of emotion to an already well-crafted narrative.
This is the kind of movie that deserves our support-not just for its outstanding content, but for ensuring that the next generation learns about the sacrifices these heroes made for us.
